... it is obvious that he understands our position (i.e., those who have never had the privilige of seeing McCartney before).
And so do most of the members who express their critical opinion about the setlist. You can count me in!

Interestingly, he must not really care much for "Listen To What The Man Said", as it wasn't even included in the "Wings Greatest" album in 1978 even though it was a hit song. He just never plays it anymore. Perhaps he doesn't like it???
I don't think so. The last time he "played" LTWTMS was on Feb. 27th, 1988 in San Remo:
And that was the last time he was seen playing his Rickenbacker bass. Those were the days, man! And in recent years he performed it privately with one of his biggest admirers: Ron Sexsmith.Hi,
femaleanimal:
He`s not going to replace Hey Jude with Motor of Love at these big stadium shows, and that would be incredibly disappointing to those who have not seen him before.
if you don't stop, I won't do either. No one said that he should drop "Hey Jude" or any other song everybody who hasn't been to Macca concerts wants to hear. We are only looking for small changes like ...
#1's: Silly Love Songs, Listen To What the Man Said, Admiral Halsey, With A Little Luck top 10's: Junior's Farm, Goodnight Tonight, Take It Away, Lonely Nights
Just EXAMPLES! Just PROPOSING! What's so wrong about saying that? But, I too won't get on your nerves anymore. I will put myself in isolation: http://macca.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70645 P.S.: And that ...

The people who have seen him 5 billion times ...
.. is a really ridiculous exaggeration. Anyway:

This will be my last post on the board. I expected a forum was to be a place where everybody could put forward their thoughts and opinions in a robust but mature way. Obviously aside from the few who always reply in that way (you guys know who you are, and thanks for all your posts - I've always enjoyed reading them) the rest are happy to hurl insults or post some of the most childish and inane stuff I've ever read. If this board is only for sycophantic "Paul can do no wrong - everything he does is genius - Paul's poo doesn't stink - all he touches is gold" then this ain't the place for me. Goodbye everyone and good luck! Enjoy your musings on what it would be like to kiss Paul and What is Paul's personality like...etc, etc, etc...all very rewarding and stimulating stuff for the true fans. Oh, and I'm sure that will keep the mods happy... In the meantime, I'll look elsewhere for stimulating and honest debate. Out. R
see ya' later...........the real fans will stick around here, so don't worry.
Dear DavidP, do you really think only you and everyone who's pleased with the setlist are "real fans"? Sometimes when I'm on this board I have the same feelings like motops. Yes indeed, this should be a "place where everybody could put forward their thoughts and opinions in a robust but mature way". But often I get the feeling that this isn't possible and that it makes no sense to discuss. I am the admin of the most popular german Beatles community on www.erdbeerfelder.de and on our board we have a huge variety of opinions, but I never experienced something so unpolite, ignorant and childish. Sorry.

Hope for change? You can hope all you want. It's not gonna happen. Tragically Paul's shows have become set in stone. ...
Excellent post!

Every time Paul does a concert they come on here and trot out the same negative comments about his set list.
Well, and every time after those comments there are the same old "let him play what he wants to play - if you don't like it stay home" arguments. You can turn it any way you like: Although every Macca concert is an exciting experience (and I've seen a dozen Macca concerts too and will continue to do so IF HE STILL LOVES EUROPE/GERMANY!!!), it's a bit sad that so much interesting material is left untouched. Missed possibilities.
Still no setlist? Come on!
Finally I got my original RIAA Award of "Venus And Mars". http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s231/DrOBell/VM_RIAA.jpg

It was the famous "Mad Day Out" on July 28, 1968. St. Pancras, London. I was there too. Well, 34 years later: Look here.
