It's a huge let down to see that there obviously are some security issues on paulmccartney.com. I received two false friend requests from "admin@elgg.dev" from two people from this board (their user names were in the mails) whom I asked and they say they didn't send me anything. I have no idea what the links in those mails contain and how my email address could be used for that. If pm.com at least would send some explanation. I know every site can get hacked or something but at least inform us about it. And don't think I'm going to sign up for anything again in the near future!

You shouldn't feel guilty about liking To You and Oo You! Actually we should all stop feeling guilty about any of Paul's songs and just enjoy.

Temporary Secretary! I've had it in my work out songs playlist for years. It always makes me smile. The guy who wrote Yesterday came up with this crazy song!
It's in my jogging playlist, too. The song is crazy in a very nice way. Glad to see several others have mentioned it in this thread. Oh...and while I don't feel embarrassed about liking Temporary Secretrary, I do feel embarrassed about having come to like....Arrow Through Me. ops:

Junior's Farm (don't tell me that's not a place)

RE: NEIL FINN
In my opinion Neil Finn is indeed one of the best songwriters ever. Beautiful melodies and often really clever lyrics. I like this one for example, and a million others:
Seen Crowded House live twice, always great -

with a little tag that says 'Macca'.
Hehe, that would be cute If I found the coat, Paul would be welcome to come by and pick it up. I'd definitely make him a cup of tea also

RE: Linda's Pix For Seventy Six
Pic 33 of Martha is great. Looks like "she's got 3 legs" and 1 eye. Honestly. Sorry for those who can't see the pics, it's horrible how Facebook rules the world.

RE: Vintage Wings articles
I've come to really like Back To The Egg! Especially "Getting Closer" and "To You" are two fantastic songs in my opinion. Really love them.

When you don't mind making a fool of yourself by posting here after 3 months when you've told everyone big time that you would be leaving. Anyway, good to see my thread is still popular
no one makes fools of themselves here...well ...none at least that I care to talk about...lol...but you are not one of them! Nice to see you round these parts!
Aw, very nicely said oobu. Thanks Good to 'see' you, too! Hope you're well.

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
Hi, hope everyone is well. I haven't really returned, but since you can't post on the main site without connecting to a social network and I don't like that idea, I need to say what I wanted to say in this thread. IF Paul has anything to do with these changes at all, I guess the only thing he maybe did was to change the employees who take care of his website. Maybe he saw that there was no improvement on the old site and asked for a change. Who knows, I have no idea. I just don't believe that Paul really has much to do with this or ever really visits his website, which I think is totally ok, he's got other things to do and got people to work on this for him. So if we could all keep this in mind I'd really appreciate that

RE: You know you are addicted to the maccaboard when...
I'm no longer addicted to this board. Not long ago I couldn't stay away for more than a day. Now I no longer bother posting. I miss all the b****d members, whom I was asked not to mention again. Topics and posts of my favourite members and my own get deleted. It makes no sense for me to go on posting here. But at least this helped me get rid of my addiction. I had a really good time on here for quite some time, thanks to everyone who made this place a fun place and I hope you managed to read this before it gets deleted. And my last message goes to Paul whom I'll love always and forever (and thus still am allowed to criticise if I don't agree with him): Thanks for having turned me into a vegetarian! 3 weeks without meat now

'Call Me Back Again' is a good one too....
Absolutely!! (A very cool first post by the way! Welcome on the board). Don't let it bring you down has great vocals, too. There are sooo many, for example With a little luck, Morse Moose, Tomorrow (especially the ending). Beatles songs: Oh darling, Golden Slumbers, I'm down
I love all those but Golden Slumbers is my fave. Other vocals I love include Warm & Beautiful, Let It Be, Sgt Peppers..., Let Me Roll It, Jet, Monkberry Moon Delight, Lady Madonna, Honey Pie (nice crooning), etc etc etc.
Oh yes Monkberry! How could I forget to mention that one? Actually I'm listening to it right now!

RE: Paul's most powerful lyrics thread
CMackbird:
Mrs. Pepper:
I agree with all of you So many beautiful lyrics to choose from. I've wanted to ask this for a long time but was scared of sounding silly but oh well...here it goes ops: What's it like to be a (straight) guy and listen to Paul McCartney? Haha, sounds weird I know but I was thinking, can you imagine (guys) what it's like to listen to Paul's beautiful songs, voice, lyrics while you actually also think he's gorgeous, handsome, beautiful and all that? It's not that I think of that every time I listen to his music. I like his music for the music. But I must admit it happens during Calico Skies and "I will hold you for as long as you like" that I'm like "Sigh...I wish you would". And I guess you guys never think of that, lol. So sometimes it makes a difference to be a male or a female Paul fan. Hope this is not too off topic. Just all these beautiful lyrics you posted, some of them love songs, made me remember this question I've had for a long time now.
I can answer that question from my point of view. Paul has a very beautiful and versatile voice. When I hear him sing songs like Wanderlust or Calico Skies I get goosebumps, I sometimes cry. This man is my hero and I don't care what anybody else thinks.
Beautifully said CMack. And I understand what you mean. Voices can touch you no matter if male or female. I only recently found me crying at a concert where a female singer was singing her heart out. I had never heard or seen her before, so this is what only the voice did. Then if the person is your hero it makes the whole thing even more powerful. I understand, thank you for explaining. (And of course you had to use the word "hero" to remind me of something ;))

Besides "Hitchhike", I don't believe Paul ever covered a Motown song as a solo. However, the Beatles did cover the following Motown hits: You Really Got A Hold on Me Money Please Mr. Postman Would be kind of nice if he did one of those on the 18th.
Weren't they all sung by John as the leading singer, though?
Hi Frankie, yes they were all sung by John. The only song of the three I can imagine could be sung live by Paul nowadays is Please Mr. Postman.
Hullo. How are you? Hmm. I think, from the past, Paul singing the songs that were mostly sang by John haven't always gone down too well. But who knows. Maybe he'll do it justice or maybe he'll do a cover he's never done before and surprise us all.
Fine thank you Hope you too! Yeah let's see what he'll do. Would be cool with a little surprise

Never seen you before but welcome back! I signed up in 2003 but took a break between 2004 and 2011. I really like your avatar. At times I'm totally like that cat, completely missing the point Edit: I meant signature!
