A bootleg, I'm afraid.

RE: Mull of Kintyre and Nottingham Forest FC
Rather entertainingly, someone has brought the use of Mull of Kintyre to the attention of our beloved songsmith. He has apparently offered to play at the City Ground if Forest get promoted. Clearly, he knows there's no chance of that happening any time soon! http://www.nottinghampost.com/Nottingham-Forest-fans-hope-Sir-Paul-McCartney/story-25778221-detail/story.html

RE: Press to Play

There actually ARE two versions of PTP. I don't mean formats, or the original and 1993 McCartney Collection edition. When it came out, both LP and CD were pressed with different mixes of Press. One version featured the 4:20 Hugh Padgham mix (that appeared on the 10" single and, in abbreviated form, on the 7" single). The other version featured the 4:40 Bevans/Forward mix that was used on the 12" single. You can't tell which version appears on which copy because the covers were never amended but you can tell from the matrix numbers.
What?!?!?!? How can I tell and which matrix #? Sorry just such a geek for this album.
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I'm an infrequent visitor here. Here's the relevant paragraph extracted from my own Guide to Paul McCartney Recording Variations: For vinyl, in order differentiate each pressing visually, collectors will need to determine the matrix numbers: - First pressing, using mix b - side one: PCSD 103 A-1U-1-2, side two: PCSD 103 B-7-1-1- - Second pressing, using mix a - side one PCSD 103 A-2U-1-1-, side two: PCSD 103 B-3U-1-2-1 Both versions were also manufactured and issued on CD in the UK. Again, the artwork was never amended to reflect this. It would appear that there are several variants of the matrix number for each: - First pressing, using mix b - CDP 746269-2@2 - Second pressing, using mix a - CDP 746269-2@4+5+, CDP 746269-2.@4+6+3+, CDP 746269-2.@4:6:6 + The only consistency is the use of ?@2? after the core number for the Bevans/Forward version and ?@4? for the Padgham version. Advice for collectors would be to check the track timing rather than rely on matrix numbers. It would appear, however, that the pressings featuring the single mix were not issued at all in the US.[/list]

RE: Where do u get your info and your McCartney fix
I get all my info from the Steve Hoffman Music Forum. There are some very knowledgeable people there, some who know people who know...

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
*Perry*:
I didn't give my money to no grotty website. I am happy. Nobody called me any kind of a member either.
Well done you. Now, tell me: how does that help anyone exactly?

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
How's about MPL sending each non-US Premium member a copy of the new Christmas Kisses single, seeing as they couldn't be bothered giving it an official release over here? Now, THAT would be nice.

Those Wings shirts that were supposed to be in the store a while back would be a cool thing to put in the goodie bag. or 50% off some stuff in the store for cyber Monday would be cool
I think most of us are expecting some physical goodies (Please take note of that, MPL!), and that would be a perfect gift to get!
I'm not bothered about physical product, I want something unique. I'd much prefer it to be audio or video, but it doesn't have to be physical

Now you expect us to buy Kisses in a third format? Will not be happening at my house.
I know. For an animal rights activist, he sure likes beating that dead horse. ETA: THIS should have been the free download to make up for the rip-off of Premium Members, not the DVD. This is just one more way to rip us off.
Absolutely. But even then, it's only a rehash of what we've already got with one new song and one alternative version thrown in...

RE: Remasters schedule is a joke.
I agree that the schedule has been frustratingly slow but at this point in time I'd rather have new projects than rehashes of old albums every time. McCartney ain't gonna be with us forever but remasters of old albums can happen with or without him. Right now, I'd lock him in a studio and not let him leave until he drops
