Radiance, we were both at the 2019 Greenville concert! Where were your seats? I had Gold VIP, but had 4th row side seat in the 2nd section back - great view and didn't have to stand the whole show!
i've never gotten an advantage the few times i've done the pre sale. just seems kind of pointless to me
I was always going for Hot Sound Package (2013, 2014, 2017) or Gold VIP (2019) and got great center section 3rd/4th row seat for HSP. No insane fees back then - cost was a flat $1500. ($1600 in 2017) Never had any problems in those presales. Now it is a nightmare and I'm glad I don't ever plan to try to get tickets again.
Amazing. That Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger should never have been allowed to happen. That said, it would seem that the two could be broken up under anti~monopoly laws. I know these times are very demanding what with Ukraine War but when some sort of normality returns we should ask...Congress, where are you? Investigate please!
I'm sure the big ticket lobbies have Congress all sewn up.
Was that the 2009 show at Piedmont Park? Must have been as I think that was only time he has done outdoors in Atlanta. By a miracle, I saw weather forecast in hotelbeforehad and they said 10% chance rain. Despite that, I had a rain poncho and hat. Many people left when rain started but we stayed.
Yes!! I ended up front row and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
Got spoiled. I won't pay $300 to see him from the 16th row. And that's what I was pulling up for Winston Salem this morning. So I didn't get any. 😞
Yes, it was a great show and weren't' all the tickets $75.00general admission since it was all festival style generalseating? No chairs but brought along beach towel but stood for the entire show.
I just don't understand why this is so underhanded. So if you register for the presale you don't get a code unless you buy a laminate? That is completely unfair and unethical. Why would they do this? I understand they want the sales from the digital album but suckering fans into buying another copy is ridiculous.
No. Laminate codes are are totally separate from Verified Fan codes. Those are free but you have to register and then be selected by Ticketmaster to get a code. Laminate codes are emailed to you after you buy the laminate.
Pre-sale doesn't always have best seats, as you mention...particularly as of late. But you are (theoretically) competing with less people. I say give it a go and see what pops up. Just have an idea of what your budget and needs are.
Some people just want to get in the building (for various reasons) others just have more flexibility. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.
us fans that attend multiple shows account for such a small percentage of the crowd in attendance, putting on multiple shows a the same time does not effect 99.9% of those in attendance. Not everything in the PM concert can be customized for us multiple show concert go'ers (tickets, sale times, pre release schedule, song list etc) My opinion, no need to quote it lol.
Thanks, Fi, for the address. That is a different one than I wrote to the last time I changed my email address. I changed my signature this morning just to test and, as you can see, it didn't deactivate my account.
Self indulgent of me, but I wanted to re-read my concert review which I seem to recall seemed to describe the Second Coming (almost), it's in this thread somewhere
Glad you did because it reminded me of taking my daughters to see him. They loved the concert and thanked my wife and I many times for taking them !!
