Paul is playing both weekends.
Also, the press release for the festival says this will be his only festival appearance in the US this year.
With him playing both weekends I would expect some other Texas shows during the week in-between.

Excellent show. I would rate it better than the 2014 show at Philips. Macca was in better voice than i was expecting. This is the smallest venue I have seen him in (11,500 capacity vs 20,000 for Philips). I think that helped the crowd as they were really into the concert. I was in the last row (D) of the second level, but only about 30-40 ft from stage. Would easily have been a $175+ ticket in a larger arena. Besides the young lady pictured above, he also had a family of 4 in full Pepper uniforms on stage. Adorable young girl who said she was nervous (Macca said so was he) and a special needs son who Macca let play his bass. Was glad to get the concert list I did as I had not seen Letting Go live and haven't seen Birthday since 1990.
including this because it mentions that multiple members of Macca's band were in attendance at the Bonnie Raitt/James Taylor concert that was last night at infinite Energy Arena. http://music.blog.ajc.com/2017/07/12/concert-review-james-taylor-and-bonnie-raitt-soothe-souls-in-duluth/

So RamblinRed, are you off that day or do you have to work? Marietta is like the other side of the world for me!
Actually, I need to change that, i'm up in Woodstock now, but I work downtown. I will be coming from Downtown that day - likely with my colleague who is also a big concert goer. We've seen Macca together in both Orlando and at Wrigley. We have individual tickets. If I can find 2 more for a decent price away from the stage then my son and wife will go as well. Glad to see that Rick appears to have recovered from his health troubles, he is a great guy - have known him for over 20 yrs - used to see him at Sea of Timeless Records.

Ha! I just checked and Frontera is only 0.4 miles from the arena. There is also an Italian restaurant right there by Kroger if you guys don't want Mexican.
Frontera is good. I tend to eat light before concerts so that would work for me.
I emailed another friend but haven't heard back yet, but let's just plan to get there around 1 pm. You and I will of course be talking off and on between now and July 13th! (We just today spent over 2 hours at Culver's eating and talking! Betcha can't guess what/who about!)
Being a WI native, having Culver's now in GA is a dream for me. Butter Burgers, cheese curds and custard, YUMM!!!!

Feeling a little conflicted this morning. I did manage to snag one ticket - an $89 - came to 106.35 with fees. But my son really wanted to go, so I will have to keep looking for 2 for my wife and son. I was actually both online and called directly to the ticket office. Got through to the ticket office first. I was on a rep in the ticket office at 10:01 and they had nothing but singles left at 10:02 in both the $59 and $89 sections. That was always going to be the issue at infinite - it's a small arena and looking at the seating chart very few Tickets for less than 175. But I just couldn't swing $400 for a couple of tickets right now.
Glad you will at least be in the house. What section and row?
208, row D. Actually, that should be pretty close to the stage - just on th side. Funny enough, this will be my 14th Macca concert and I think it is the first time i've ever been on the Hamish/Brian side of the stage. Going to keep looking and see if I can eventually get 2 more for my wife and son as the concert gets closer. Unfortunately if you wanted multiple tickets it was basically impossible unless you wanted to pay for the good seats. My son has sensory issues so tickets close to the stage would be not what he would want.

I'm keeping on eye on it, but I also have Billy Joel tonight so only a couple more hours i'll be near a computer today.
Try again Monday. If I don't get tickets this will be the first Macca concert in Atlanta I haven't attended since he started touring in 1990. Really hope to get at least 2 tickets on Monday so I can take my son, but have to stay less expensive for this one and there are only so many of those seats.
Yep, i'll be trying again this morning. Hoping for 3. Need at least 2.

I've been watching these presales with a mix of interest and horror. I notice that there are still a lot of Amex presale tickets available at certain venues; What happens to those if they haven't been sold by the time the general sale starts? Do they become available to buy at that time even if you don't have an American Express card? And does anyone know if the Amex presale happens for UK shows? I might consider getting one just for that, because the fanclub tickets seem to be really difficult to get! Thanks : )
Any pre-sale tickets that are left become available when the general sale starts. That is why pre-sales end before the regular sale starts.
I'll be back at it Friday to give it another go. No tickets today for me. Congrats to those that got tickets today.

my co-worker snagged a $89 ticket. I need 3 for my family. No luck. Never found more than 1 available at any price level. given the size of the arena i'm not surprised. Going to be a hard one to get tickets for. I'll try the next pre-sale
If you have an AMEX card, they have a presale at 10 am.
I do and I will be trying that one.

Yeah, apparently Macca's people thought it was in MN too based on their release. Based on the local article it sounds like Macca may have been in discussion to open the new football stadium - Mercedes Benz Stadium. That was supposed to be ready already, but they have had issues with the complex roof they designed so they are still working on it. My belief is they likely had a date in mind, when it became clear that it wasn't going to be ready they decided to do a show elsewhere. Philips Arena would have been the expected site - but that is undergoing a renovation after basketball season ends, so it isn't available. So that leaves Infinite energy Center as far as indoor venues. looks like they really squeezed it in there based on its calendar. it has events both days around it and James Taylor will be performing there 2 days before.[/img]
good luck tomorrow. My plan is to try the PM pre-sale tomorrow morning and if that doesn't work then try again an hour later for the AmEx presale. May be late to 2 staff meetings tomorrow.
Just got the email from pm.com for pre-sale. Starts at 9 am tomorrow (Wednesday). AmEx presale starts at 10 am Wednesday. AXS presale starts Friday at 10 am. For those who have never been to this arena it is smaller. The first level has 27 rows, the second level has 6 rows.

Smallest venue he has ever played in metro Atlanta.
Happy to see that they seem to be announcing alot of the shows in succession instead of dribbling them one and two at a time over weeks.
