    • What happened to Rupert & The Frog Song 4k??

I've been trying to find answers to this but no one seems to be discussing it... The 4k upload of 'Rupert and the Frog Song' has been taken down after only a couple of days and was wondering why? There was no mention of a limited release and with all the effort that has gone into its remaster it seems a shame to not have it available in some way.

Perhaps it is being saved as part of an upcoming archive release or animated collection?

      Any ideas?

^ I just got my codes to email in for them. Here in the US it was a special at Best Buy & all we have to do it pay shipping...BUT we also had to buy the cds... AGAIN. They'll get you one way or the other.

Over here in the UK they made the singles available at certain independent record stores. Luckily for me the closest one was quite local to where I live. It cost £10.99 (around $17) per single though, not cheap but totally worth it!!

    • RE: Has Paul changed?

I guess people do change depending on your life at that time. The people we are around influence us greatly. Paul seemed pretty much the same all the way through his marriage to Linda, the last few years and years following her death obviously being very tough for him. Then the unfortunate years with Heather Mills. I guess he has gone through a lot of change over the last 20 years. 'Celebrity' is also very different these days, it seems that 'nobody' can become famous, making the 'somebody's' larger than life, so maybe that makes Paul appear more untouchable? When Paul was with Linda there seemed to be more of a 'homely' quality about him. He was bringing the family with him everywhere and obviously Linda was involved with most things. These days the family stuff seems more private, apart from when the media intrude. Maybe he is also making a conscious effort to keep up with fashion and probably feels the need to be a bit over the top with the over the top gestures and "hey man's" etc? Just my little theories.

    • RE: Pipes of Peace. Your thoughts.

Loved the album when I first got it about 19 years ago when I was 12 but I think my taste has changed and I appreciate the rawrer macca stuff more now. Through Our Love is very underated and So Bad is beautiful. On the topic of bonus tracks, I have to say that for me Twice In A Lifetime is one of Macca's most un-memorable songs. That song has never gelled with me.

    • RE: Did Paul's Voice Really Change?

      KCNancy:

Everybody's voice changes with age. Its an unfortunate fact of life. Why bring it up? :

Why not? There's nothing wrong with bringing it up, it's a very interesting subject to talk about. Nobody is putting him down for being human. I'm totally fascinated with the changes he has gone through. I have found that it is not just his voice that's changed, but in 72 years you're bound to go through a lot of changes physically and mentally. I guess he is just one of the few people where we, the public, get to see a 52year change since he first became famous. You only have to listen to this:

      then this:
To spot the difference. But, no matter what anyone says, it is Paul, and everyone here on the maccaboard loves him.
