    • RE: TOUR MERCHANDISE PROBLEMS

Well, after some email correspondence with Customer Service at Music Today, it seems my order is finally on the way. I received an urgent email asking me to call as they said my credit card had been declined. Once I spoke to a real person, she said since the item was back-ordered, they waited too long to try to charge the card. She also told me the item was still back-ordered with no available date. The charge went on my card that afternoon and the next day I got an email that the items had been shipped. I guess I'm glad I checked the status after all

I haven't had any problems at all with them this summer. Placed a couple of orders and have received every item. I ordered the special NY merch in September (rather than wait in line to buy it at MSG ops . Website did say there would be a shipping delay. The items all arrived last week.

I'm glad you got what you ordered. I've ordered in the past w/ never an issue. This is the first time. I placed my order on August 4 . . .finally remembered to check on it earlier this week. Oh well, like I said . . .didn't really need it but the bait of getting the Wings pins for free sucked me in :

I finally emailed customer service to ask about the item(s) I ordered from the merch store. The response was that my credit card was declined and they contacted me via email (suggested that it went to spam) to no avail. The truth is that there is nothing wrong w/ that credit card (I'm using it on a regular basis) and I've searched thru my "trash" folder for an email and found nothing. That's where any spam stuff might go. Interesting that if I check the status of the order online it still says "processing". Now, the item I ordered was out of stock but said it would be shipped when it was available. My guess is that's the real story as that particular item is no longer on the website to purchase. Oh well . . .$85 I didn't need to spend anyway. Just wondering if the original poster of this thread ever got their stuff?

I ordered several weeks ago and it did say my item was being back-ordered. So far I've been charged for nothing and received nothing. Still waiting . . . :

This is one of the many reasons why that whole seated concert/champagne big wig seat practice for a damn rock and roll show is so damn decadent and a slap in the face of the true fans.

Yeah, there's a lot of stuck up people around. And a lot just don't know any better. Shame really. Although I like the seats being there...keeps some order to it all.

I'm hoping you guys aren't talking about me just because I ponied up the cash for a VIP seat

Goodness no. I did soundcheck too (at Tinley). It's the ones that walk out without a clue...and a few others.

Oh good . . .I always wonder why people do that. It's kinda a hassle (not that I mind!) to go to a huge show like that . . .traffic, parking, crowds, etc., so why bother if you're just going to stay for 10 songs and leave?? :

I honestly didn't notice people leaving during "My Valentine" at the show I went to. Or maybe it was just that nobody around me got up.

I've seen people around me sit down, not too many leave.

What I did notice was this: The couple next to me (this is 3rd row, center folks) decided to go t-shirt shopping (I overheard them discuss this) as soon as the rising stage started to elevate . . .they never came back . . .never . . .WHO does that???

The couple next to me last night at Tinley. From the VIP seats! Woman left just before Paul took the stage. Her male companion stayed seated the whole time she was gone, which was for several songs. When she returned, she sat down too. They had a conversation which lasted about one song, and then both of them got up and left, never to return! Several songs later, two young guys came with tickets in hand and took over their seats. I don't know if the original couple relocated, or just plain left, but at least they didn't let those seats go to waste. The two guys stood for the rest of the show and had a great time.

Wow! At least the seats were enjoyed by guys that had a great time. I will say that I had more room to jump around when the couple next to me left but still . . .I just couldn't believe it. I can't recall now if they had the swag bags from the VIP pkg. Maybe they got their tickets free somehow and didn't feel like they'd be out anything if they left . . .I've never even taken a bathroom break at a Paul show!

I love "My Valentine." It's easily my favorite of any Paul song since MAF. He can sing it for me anytime. But I agree with all who applaud "You Won't See Me." Great, unbelievably catchy tune, and it's always nice when Paul does an arrangement that's not a note-for-note recreation of the original.

I like My Valentine as a song, but it's honestly a mood killer live. I like the Capitol Records live version

It clears the room. I saw Tom Petty Sunday night here in Baltimore, and the fourth song in the set was introduced as being "from our latest record" and people all around me immediately got up. It was like a zombie apocalypse heading for the bathroom and beer lines. This classic rockers need to stop introducing new songs that way. I didn't know the song, but it fit right in the set and kept the flow. "My Valentine" doesn't keep the flow.

So get this...I have a friend who went last night with lawn seats. She's in a Beatles Ensemble at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and two nights ago, she found out that Paul is giving all of them VIP passes to the show, including the soundcheck! So she's going back today with a soundcheck package (she doesn't know where her seat will be, but it'll be a lot better than lawn!) for free! 1. Paul is awesome! 2. I'm so jealous!

Very cool! He seems to do this often. In Des Moines, he invited a Drake University fine arts class in for soundcheck. They had to stand behind us And in Lincoln in 2014, there was (I think) a class of high school kids that got to come into soundcheck. I don't know if either of these groups got tickets of any kind but getting into soundcheck unexpectedly would be pretty cool on its own!

Yeah, that's so awesome! I'll report back as to what she ended up with. But she was under the impression that it was the soundcheck, dinner, and seats, but she didn't know where the seats would be.

Hope it's a great seat. I didn't know anything about the university class until I arrived for soundcheck and they divided us into 2 lines for security . . .students and VIP. I don't believe the students ever entered the hospitality room with us. In any case, your friend's evening will be really, really cool (thanks to Paul!)
