Got my mountain bike back on the trail. Feels so good to ride now that the snow has melted.

"... another source told us the show sold out within a minute of going on sale... " Wow!
The TicketMaster servers are huge and can handle many thousands of transactions at one time.
Maybe if they took their time instead, there wouldn't be so many MISTAKES!

Hey everyone! I'm posting a scan of a print I have owned since the late 1970's and I do not know who the photographer is. This original image from the 'Wings Over America' tour, is in colour but my print is too terrible and so I chose to post a greyscale version instead. Neat piccie eh? Wish I'd attended one of those shows!
Yeah Mark...he looks adorable there. I love all those "Wings Over America" shots....that would have been the tour I would have liked to have seen as well.
When the tour stopped by and rocked Maple Leaf Gardens, here in Toronto, I was 15, busy moving and the tickets sold very fast. Oh well. I think for a school dance I even tried to mimic Paul's stage attire but I don't believe it came off looking anywhere near as good as Paul's.

Penny Lane - Literal Version
OMG Liz! I love this video so much. Thank you for posting it! I could hug the people who produced it. I've loved the song for ages and have seen the promo film many times. Incidently, in case you were unaware, The Beatles were filmed in London only and a crew filmed scenes of Penny Lane, sans Beatles, in Liverpool.

RE: What are you reading now?
Due to Paul's recent published comments, I decided to borrow the following from our wonderful library system and have begun reading... 'a long way gone: memoirs of a boy soldier' http://macca.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=69825 http://www.alongwaygone.com/index.html

Awesome photo of Paul there Liz! FYI: One must copy and paste the entire address in order for it to work.

Thanks so much for tracking that down, SLS! Much appreciated. Seems that pub is somewhere on the outskirts of Liverpool. I'd love to know more about it; maybe a friendly Liverpudlian will stop by as you said. That site has some great stills from the show, doesn't it? I especially like the one you posted. Many thanks again for taking the time to find this!
My pleasure! Way to follow up with further details as to what became of that locale. The whole notion caused me to think of how so many sites have changed dramatically, as these things happen over time. I have yet to find myself in the U.K. and visit what Beatle related places still exist. Anyways, I do remember being an excited 12 year old fan when the 'James Paul McCartney' special originally aired on TV here in North America in the spring of 1973.

RE: Paul McCartney - YouTube Videos
Hey TB, this is the best I could track down regarding your query above. We would certainly need a long-time Liverpudlian to give us an update to whatever became of the place. From http://www.geocities.com/helenwheels_99/jamespaulmccartney.html "6) "Chelsea Ranch": introduced by a voice-over by Paul, this part of the programme features a McCartney family and friends get-together at the Chelsea Ranch public house near Liverpool. Those present include Paul's father Jim, who is seen giving Paul money to help pay towards the drinks, plus Paul's Auntie Gin, Auntie Dilys and fellow Liverpudlian sixties musician Gerry Marsden, along with Paul's brother Mike (McGear) McCartney."

" Speak For Your Self " ~ this saying has been around as long as i can remember. I wonder when it started?
Probably when Adam let it out that he and Eve were over 900 years old.
