How come Capital didn't release the bonus tracks on the LP releases?

I hope Capitol will pick up where the series left off, and put out Archive reissues of Wildlife/Red Rose Speedway and London Town/Back To The Egg to somewhat complete the picture.

The unreleased songs from those album/sessions are the ones I really want. Probably his best unreleased material came from those 4 album sessions. I wonder why the wait for it?

The other morning I heard n Chris Carter's Breakfast show I heard: Tomorrow from Wildlife Always loved that song and Paul's vocal in particular. It sounded great on the radio. Don't know why "Tomorrow" wasn't put out as the "single" for Wildlife. It was the most commercial of all the tracks. If my memory is correct, Paul didn't put out any single for the album. Still am disappointed with the playlist on the station. It's a great station but it's starting to get too repetitious for my taste. I emailed to Sirius my main complaint when it comes to their playlist and specifically Paul's Post Beatles songs. Yes, they are playing lots of Paul's 70's music but where is Paul's Solo catalog (from Tug of War on). I have heard very little from Tug, Flowers, Off the Ground, Flaming Pie, Driving Rain, Chaos, MAF, New etc etc.

I agree with you. I feel like they play more live Solo Paul from those eras rather than his own studio recordings. I also feel the same for John, i feel like ive heard "Instant Karma" and "Imagine" live more than the studio releases of those songs. Also they play early outtakes from the iTunes album the Bootleg Beatles but i havent heard Anthology outtakes or songs ("That Means A Lot"...etc) on the daily playlists? Why is that?

I'm hearing alot of Ringo solo stuff. I was shocked to hear a song off Old Wave today. Im glad there are doing all the solo stuff rather than key stuff.

It's really sad that the B-Sides are not included in the physical package. I have always loved "Back on My Feet", "Flying to My Home", "The First Stone" - even more than some of the album tracks. Anyway, Mr. Scott Rodgers, if you are really thinking about releasing a box set of Paul McCartney's albums and songs: please release a comprehensive set and put all the songs on CDs! I used one or two lunchbreaks to compile the following list. Probably a couple of songs are still missing. But this would probably be a nice way to release the albums in sets: I've divided all the albums in three boxes with lots of bonus discs. The content of the Bonus discs is listed below (most of the songs have been officially released). To all the people on the maccaboard: please feel free to add the songs I forgot, etc.

Awesome collection idea however. I noticed a few tracks that could of been added to some of your bonus discs Disc 2 I would of added "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae" Disc 4 I would of added "Same Time Next Year", "Waterspout", "Cage", "Robbers Ball", "Thank You Darling, "Did We Meet Somewhere Before?", "Tomorrow (instrumental), "When The Wind Is Blowing", "Gotta Sing Gotta Dance". Awesome collection idea however. I noticed a few tracks that could of been added to some of your bonus discs Disc 2 I would of added "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae" Disc 4 I would of added "Same Time Next Year", "Waterspout", "Cage", "Robbers Ball", "Thank You Darling, "Did We Meet Somewhere Before?", "Tomorrow (instrumental), "When The Wind Is Blowing", "Gotta Sing Gotta Dance". Disc 17 I would of added "Scrambled Eggs" with Jimmy Fallon

I'm surprised Paul is issuing this on its own when he paired up McCartney & McCartney II + Venus & Mars & Wings at The Speed of Sound + Tug of War & Pipes of Peace. At least the latter pair are both stronger records than Flowers in the Dirt. I'm also appalled at the price of the Deluxe and this nonsense about downloads. For the first time in the archive collection, I'm genuinely uncertain as to if I will shell out for this one. I love the record, but I want everything tangible. No two ways about it. This Deluxe edition now seems glaringly incomplete. Anyway, I think it would've made a lot more sense to release this with Off The Ground and bring the price down a bit. I think they'd find it would boost sales for both. As for what's to come next? If it's a single release, I think London Town is the obvious choice. If it's a pair? Then I suppose Back to The Egg would make sense...but Wild Life & Red Rose Speedway would also make sense as a pair to come next.

I can't believe that FITD is being issued on its own. This and OTG are like brothers (a clear beginning and end of a period in Paul's career), I'd wish their Archive Collection Issues were both released at the same time.

My thoughts exactly. Venus and Mars with Speed of Sound, Tug of War with Pipes of Peace, I would've thought Off the Ground would come with Flowers in the Dirt. That method would also work with London Town/Back to the Egg, Wild Life/Red Rose Speedway, and Broad Street/Press to Play. There's not much consistency to it, but as long as they get done - in any order - count me in! I love having these every year.

Dont forget CHOBA B CCCP/Run Devil Run, Flaming Pie/Driving Ran, and Chaos and Creation/Memory Almost Full thats if Paul wants to reissue those.

Add me to the chorus. Would love to see those two get the full treatment. But I expect if there are more Archive Collection releases after FITD that the next release will be Flaming Pie. It seems the releases are moving chronologically.

Actually if they were going chronologically order Off The Ground would be next not Flaming Pie.

Good collection I wish this included "La De Da", "Sentimental Journey", ""Sunshine Life for Me (Sail Away Raymond)", "Runaways", "In Liverpool", and "Picture Show Life", and as a bonus track Ringo 2012 "Wings" version.
