@wandy But how is distorting your voice any different than distorting your voice as it has been done before the AI came about? Doesnt double tracking or echo or sped up or sped down vocals ok? He and the Beatles already have distored their vocals in these several different ways. If he records it and THEN distorts his voice what is the crime here? How can we really says this type is ok and that type is not? Isn't it part of the creative process? Its just a new technology.

I'm just saying that I'd welcome it as I would any kind of play on his vocals as he's done in other styles. Its just really interesting.

I know some don't embrace the idea and thats ok too. Just wanted to create a debate and raise the awreness with this thread.

@wandy Let me be more specific. I’d agree with most of what you said. More specifically…

What if HE used this technology? It’s already out there.

Is it any different than a double track vocal or echo chamber etc?

    • Paul's altered voice courtesy of AI

Has anyone else listened to the few redone McCartney songs using artificial intelligence to insert a younger McCartney voice into existing songs?

For starters I heard a "redone" version of "I Don't Know" and "My Valentine" and I have to admit, I did not hate it at all, I actually really enjoyed it.

These can be easily found on You Tube

What are other's thoughts on this? Paul has always embraced having his voice altered to an extent. Do you think this new technology is something we might see on upcoming albums or even live performances?

      Its intriguing....

      Embarassment of Riches...

Only Paul could come into Quebec with a #1 album, that has more than 10 standout tracks and only play 3.

Yes, let me start by saying the concert last night was amazing.  Paul was in excellent form and the boys played their hearts out.  The  new three man horn section lifted the tunes just way beyond the normic sonic experience.  It was just on fire.  When they kicked in "Letting Go", it was like hearing the song for the first time.  Just know, if you hear this live, you are in for a different kind of elevated treat.

Soundcheck was great!  They started with a bluesy horn based loosley based instrumental "Letting Go" vibe, which must have lasted ten minutes... would pay money to hear that version again.

Met many great people, had great veggie food, and said hello to the "Who Cares" girls...

What a night, what a treat, please play more ES songs Paul!

Random musings on a Wednesday morning.... (Next album title)

Thinking about how Paul hinted at the possibility of taking the brass section on the tour dates... HELL YES...PLEASE!

Then thinking of the other closer before the bonus tracks, Hunt You Down/Naked/C-Link

This would sound amazing live. Could even see the horns repeating his notes in C-Link... could even see the mighty trio of Rusty/Paul/Brian exchanging blues hooks....

OMG, bring it on!!! Is it next Monday night yet???????

Think I'd like to hear about 6 tracks from the Album live...

Well.... I’ve listened non stop to the entire album and will continue into tomorrow.  I’ve completely enjoyed the first three pre-released singles.

I wanted to wait until I’ve had at least a week with the album to make any public commentary.  But I’ll just come out and say it..... LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

so far I Don’t Know, Fuh You and Dominoes just rise to the absolute top.  just crazy and amazing how well he did here.

more commentary to come, Quebec City next week... just a great great time to be a Macca fan.  couldn’t be more pleased.
