I noticed when I moved a couple months back that my SOS box is somewhat bent. I don't know what happened, I hardly every move the thing. On of my prints in the V&M box look a little worn and I don't think I've taken it out of the cellophane but once. So I feel the pain.

I discovered there was only 21 minutes of music on the second disc of my SOS box set, but when I brought it back to the shop, the guy said it was a manufacturing fault.

Listening to the working class hero double cd . Second last track is Real Love - vocal / piano only . I think it's the version taken from the anthology / wonsaponatime collections . Question is , why wasn't this version used as the basis for the Beatles version?! It's beautiful and clear - Johns vocals are almost studio quality. Compare it to the version used . Pretty muddy sounding in comparison with a click track throughout marring it further . Also sped up which further affects johns vocal . The mind boggles , and would appreciate info or theories on this !

I'd rather read Geoff Emerick or George Martin's take on things than someone like Peter Brown.

There is an entire series of the fake Pete Best recordings. "The End" is hilarious if you have heard the others first.

I made the mistake months ago of listening to those all at work...I had to stifle my laughter and hide my tears while my coworkers gave me weird glances. I think the Mona angle plays into his sacking, too. Not only her and Neil, but the fact that she'd be sort of managing them before Brian came along and there was bound to be a power struggle, especially once things REALLY took off.
