While I can't complain about my view - I have to say it was the most physically uncomfortable seating I've ever had. I was in DD row 3. They had us wedged in like sardines. I couldn't even shift from one leg to the other without having two sweating arms touching mine - gross..... The women on either side of me had signs and were determined to hold them up. Thing is, when they did both signs met right in front of my face. I had to sit. And I've done my last sound check for sure. Really not worth to dollars to me. Of course Paul's show never disappoints.

If anyone is interested, I have a front row package ticket for Phila July 12th. I am going to soundcheck as I bought another package so I could manage to sit near my husband. I am willing to discount pretty deeply just to move it. If interested, please PM me. Eleanor

I agree. I have done VIP route about 12 times. Since front row seats are on the side, you don't have a straight-on view of Paul. I prefer Hot Sound, and try for center section. You are never, ever going to meet Paul just from buying a VIP ticket, so you can't go into it thinking that or you will be sorely disappointed. That said, the VIP experience is great (or else I would not have done it 12 times!) but I'll warn you - once you do it, it's hard to go back to the "cheap seats." The Soundcheck experience varies from venue to venue but basically it is what was said above - large group, escorted to room to wait, then escorted to Soundcheck where you are a whole section removed from Paul and the band, but it's a fun experience. Then you go back to have a meal. Sometimes you have free drinks, sometimes you have drink tickets, and sometimes you have a cash bar. They may give you the time and access to one of the vendors before the crowd gets there so that you can buy some merchandise. They will also give you your VIP gift - which has been in the past a backpack, a tote bag, or a duffel type bag, and generally includes some kind of water bottle and concert program. I highly recommend the experience!

You are so right!!!! The VIP experiences are addictive!!

You got that right! I look at like this, everybody has 'their thing' - VIP is my 'thing'.

I saw a Gold Seat ticket in CC and almost bought it because I thought it was closer than my seat in DD row 26. Thanks for the heads up!!!!

I'm going to sell my CC ticket - I'm not looking at half a stage - bought one in DD.

      What row are you in?

Found one in DD row 3

      Soundcheck Package?

Yea- it's the Hot sound one - so I can still go to sound check and see the whole stage!

I have a question - I see that front row tickets are nontransferable - but when I go on stubhub, there are lots of them. Does that mean you can sell the seat but not the package that comes with it? I don't understand. Maybe someone here will know. Thanks

Wonderful to hear the success stories coming in! I'd like to know how many seats are in a row too...since we're 5+6 I'd imagine we're pretty close to either end of the section. Just curious as to which...we're still the center section anyway!

It looks like there are at least 20 seats in DD. Just for the heck of it I did another search and seats 19 & 20 came up available in row 3.

Was that with a hot sound package?

I think it was but I'm not sure - I know they hold some tickets back - so I'm going to keep checking - I'm not crazy about the ticket I bought.

It sounds like you have a front row seat...like in front of the piano...sounds pretty darn good to me!!!

I'm in CC - FOTR on fb said that's a side view - for what I paid - if that's true - that's a disgrace. I looked up pics of concerts in that stadium and they may be right. I should have went for first 3 rows in DD. If I can't see half the stage what good is it? I don't know......Well, I have time to switch things around if I need to.

I swore I'd never do it again - but I couldn't help myself!!! Section CC Front row!!!

That's great! Did you go for one of the gold or silver packages or something? They seemed to offer better seats, but I wasn't going to pay those prices.

There is a Front Row option - I had to keep researching - but finally a single tic popped up so I grabbed it - The price is ridiculous I know - I'm shaking in my shoes....

So presales aren't for fans and AmEx holders, just the Amex holders?

No, there is a pre-sale through being registered (email) with Paul's website, and then after that is the AMEX pre-sale, then the general public sale.

Oh, I thought they had stopped with the registered fan presales. Great, thank you!

Sheri, I was slightly wrong. The AMEX pre-sale starts at the same time & date as the "fan" pre-sale where you have to get the code from his website: https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/new-jersey-date-added-to-pauls-one-on-one-tour

Thanks! Do you know if the code mentioned in the link (presale for NJ) is the same for every presale?

I actually think what this says is presale begins at 8 am and Amex begins at 10 am.

I usually don't chime in too often - but the thought of Hershey Park in August just doesn't do it for me. I think I'd have to hold out for the rumored NJ. I thought Penn State was a nice venue or even Philadelphia although he did those last year. I guess the older I get, there is something to be said for air conditioned arenas. I was hoping for an east coast date - but with my luck it would be 90 degrees with a early evening thunder storm - I'd have to pass on that one

    • RE: ~For Sir Paul Maccartney~ Fans write your messages here

Dear Paul, It was a pleasure to have had a front row seat at your concert at State College, Pennsylvania on October 15th. During the first half of the concert you looked directly at me and asked, off-mic ?Do you want me to sign you???I replied ?yes? I held a bright pink sign which read, ?Only Thing Missing on my Arm is: Paul McCartney?. I was so excited by our brief exchange. My heart raced away as I waited, knowing the ?signs? part of the concert was approaching. Security never came to take me to meet you. My heart sank when I saw the other two fans go on stage. I held out hope until the confetti fell. A week later I am still a bit low, but perhaps if you play the Philadelphia area again, I can give it another go. Thank you for another great show! Eleanor
