Hunt You Down in my opinion should have been a complete song it has such a good groove and vibe going on production harmonies etc.. such a shame as it would have made a cracking single

Don't understand a lot of the fuss about new chart position for the UK it reached a higher position than: WILD LIFE RED ROSE LONDON TOWN BACK TO THE EGG PIPES OF PEACE PRESS TO PLAY CHOBA OFF THE GROUND RUN DEVIL RUN DRIVING RAIN CHAOS MEMORY ALMOST And there's some great music in those albums above! need I say more...

RE: SECOND SINGLE FROM "NEW" - "QUEENIE EYE"
Steve:
I'm back to sing the praises of "Queenie Eye".... For me, after almost a month of listens, this continues to be the standout track on the album. This song continues to stand above a very well made crowded group of songs. It captures the "magic" of Paul, the Beatles, Wings, Solo efforts etc. Its rare for any one single song to do that, but this one does. I think we are very lucky to have this one as I see it standing amongst his best from his career. What a treat! On a side note, my youngest, who is about 6 years old, loves this one too. Maybe its the spelling part of the song, but he loves it. Its beyond a joy to see him, the next generation, enjoying and embracing the same music I love. I'm sure that won't last forever, but for now its a true treat.
Yes I agree I teach drama to children and have introduced the Queenie eye game as a warm up I played the song a couple of times in classes and they went wild for it!! Just such a shame it can't get airtime think younger people would download it I'm sure

RE: "Keep Under Cover" appreciation thread
Fly Paul Fly to Australia:
Wasn't it the lyrics that were attacked on this album, particularly coming off one of his very best albums Tug of War? "The Other Me" and "The Man" are prime examples but hey some people may love them. Like has been said even the lesser rated albums contain gems and Pipes of Peace certainly has those. "Average Person" is a guilty pleasure of mine. So Bad is underrated, the titled track was the albums 2nd #1 single (UK Christmas) Say Say Say was a monster hit and one that many non Macca fans remember and Through Our Love is a soaring testament to his loved ones. I quite like Pipes of Peace
Loved POP album and especially Keep Under Cover & So Bad I this misunderstood lyrics were in The Other Me when Paul sings ' I acted like a dustbin lid' which was. A bad attempt at Cockney rhyming slang meaning ' Kid'

Or it could end up as Memory Almost Full 2.
Or MEMORY ALMOST COMPLETE

What's Your Paul Ringtone?
I have the very beginning of No More Lonely Nights (the bass line bit) can anyone beat that?

year40:
I find it kind of amusing how so many people are so worried about the sales figures. After all, Paul's only the most successful musician/singer/composer/entertainer in history.
I completely agree he's done far worse before when he was younger and more likely to get airplay

While I would like him at No1 I don't see all the fuss many of his albums haven't reached No 1, also saying that Queenie Eye wont make a difference isn't strictly true either because looked what happened with Say Say Say back in the 80's soon as the video came out the song went back up the charts and Pipes Of Peace album went back up to 4 so it can happened. I thought that was a great album and should have been number 1 I also loved Driving Rain but look what happened to that
Maybe in Britain. In the U.S., the highest POP charted was #15, even though Say Say Say was a massive hit single.
That's my point, if POP only reached 15 back in 1983 and in 2013 he's reached 3 then he's doing very well surely!
