The single also reminds me slightly of the Rutles "Doubleback Alley" which is itself a "Penny Lane" pastiche! Had it on repeat for past hour - best first single since "Fine Line", roll on 14th October!!

RE: Wings Over America & Rock Show DVD Reissue CONFIRMED
I agree with many others - this is SHOCKINGLY over-priced - especially if you live in the UK where it's the equivalent of $183 (please nobody suggest I get it from the US as the P&P negates this ok!) What's made this worse is that the woefully poor website (getting worse by the day) isn't offering their own deals this time around - before one had the option of a download only option (basically getting all the audio/video material without all the extra books and guff) but all we're getting is links to Amazon and itunes - if Paul (or his people) is trying to alienate an already annoyed fan it's working - after all the premier membership debacle this is one fan that is sick of being fleeced and unfairly treated...

Yet again the UK fans are being screwed by Macca's label. The set is currently on Amazon.com for $140 (UK equivalent £90) and yet on Amazon.co.uk it's listed for £120! A £30 difference!!!!! Why? This happened with the last re-issues too - perhaps someone could explain why it's 25% cheaper in America. Like many others I cannot afford £120 on a nice box of photos with very few extras. Thanks again...after being conned with the premier membership debacle this is yet another slap in the face and a total insult to his British fans. Disgusted.
Paul doesn't set the Amazon prices. Amazon does.
No..but his label sets the prices for Amazon....! Amazon aside -when they offer it for sale on Paul's official site it is cheaper for American fans...explain that....

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
5 MONTHS AND I'M STILL WAITING 5 MONTHS AND I'M STILL WAITING 5 MONTHS AND I'M STILL WAITING WHAT ABOUT YOUR FANS NOW? Yep....5 months after losing our premier membership and the supposed compensation (as well as the responses) have dried up..just a "we're sorting out the website"! who's sorting it out - the same people who are dealing with the painfully slow 'OMG I'm going to be dead by the time they release all the' archive collections? If so we're in for a long wait!! C'mon...HP spent years helping - your fans have spent months giving feedback (as well as NON REFUNDED MEMBERSHIP MONEY - the word fraud mean anything to you?) I'm going to keep nudging, fighting and writing on here until we get a decent reply. C'mon guys!!!! Ps: Please remind Paul that he has fans in his home country (the UK!) when he's finished touring North America again and again and again!!!

RE: Tug Of War was recorded in Montserrat.... and Scotland?
I Think Eric Stewart met Macca in 1974 when Paul and his brother were recording the "McGear" album in 10cc's Strawberry Studios...don't think they met before but its possible as he was in the big 60's band The Mindbenders. Also think they fell out whilst Paul was married to Heather - according to that awful "Fab" book about him, Eric wrote to Paul and rang him to warn him off her..but didn't get a reply... It's a shame that "Press to play" didn't turn out better as it would have been great to have seen Eric as part of his touring band 89-93....oh well!

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
Middle of March now - some five months after scrapping the membership and leaving many, many Macca fans frustrated and upset..as well as out of pocket. WHEN THE **** ARE WE GOING TO GET A DECENT REPLY??? I am absolutely sick of waiting for compensation for the disgraceful way we've been treated. I am bored of writing stuff on here that is absolutely ignored by the same people who took the decision to remove our memberships without notice. It's now abundantly clear that THEY DON'T ACTUALLY CARE! Why should they - they took our money and are now laughing at us all - we're just fans - the ones that buy every release, and re-release...and even every re-re-re-release. C'mon.....seriously - time for an update - I want to know if what we've been given (downloads of stuff we all have) is the end of it..or is there more? An e-mail, a message on here - not asking for much. Get it sorted!

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
I totally agree with the above post - it's been a few months now and frankly had enough. I WANT A REFUND PLEASE!!! Wholly underwhelmed by the current state of the website (Check out the Bon Jovi one to see how to do an awesome one - and no, am not a fan of theirs) * Pointless downloads of things any fan of Pauls will already have * Newsletter that gives us news days/weeks after I've already read it elsewhere * Q&A - the one question a month - did you see the first one - a dull question that could be answered in 3 seconds * Rubbish shop / rubbish music player * STILL no decent content - photos/videos Am now bored of saying all of this - have had enough now - Been giving the Macca team some time to sort it out but they've failed..spectacularly!! I didn't get what I paid for and I want at least a partial refund. I did not get what was promised - sure there's a law against that? No more excuses..no more time - want this sorted now before I look into taking this further.

RE: A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com
Hi All, There has been a great deal happening behind the scenes at PaulMcCartney.com so we thought we?d send you another quick update. Firstly, we have been busy reading your feedback ? thanks for taking the time to leave us your messages here on the official Maccaboard Forum, Disqus (onsite comments) and the official Paul McCartney Facebook page. Please note that we are especially interested in hearing how you feel we can improve the PaulMcCartney.com experience. We do want you to be involved in moulding your new site and have been collating all your ideas for site changes for consideration. Soon you will also be asked to participate in polls, which will ask specific questions on how the site should work. In addition to this, a closed working group will be selected to work closely with us to test some of the new website developments. Your opinions matter! Lastly, we have some exciting news for our Premium Members. Next week we will launch a new competition giving Premium Members the chance to win some very special memorabilia packages full of unreleased and rare promotional items. Check back on the forum next week for more information, but in the meantime let us whet your appetite by saying that the first prize will be something unique! Thanks again, PaulMcCartney.com
As someone who has whinged and complained about the lack of feedback, I wanted to be one that openly said thank you for the above update...I, for one, appreciate it. I would also be more than happy to volunteer for any help that you need ie; the closed working group - as a DJ I have a lot of spare time on my hands and feel I have already made some good and sensible suggestions for the website and would offer my time freely to assist. For those still complaining - yes, it's not perfect, but I personally give the website team credit for the feedback, and it's clear that they do want to listen to the fans, and there's still goodies in the pipeline. Anyone expecting loads of free stuff in the post or free tickets I think are expecting and asking a little too much. For now, my faith is temporarily restored and look forward to what comes next.
