I saw Paul in 1976. Row 10 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. I still have the ticket. Price was $10.

Another rumored McCartney concert: July at Citi Field, in New York.
That one makes more sense to me. I expected him to do outdoor stadiums when he returned to touring, Indoor tours right now are still hitting postponements due to Covid outbreaks...see Eddie Vedder's current tour as a recent example.
No way should 80 year old Paul be doing stadium shows with the current state of his voice. Did you hear him sing the fist line of Live and Let Die on MCCartney 3,2,1? We all reach retirement age and it really is time for Paul to call it quits when it comes to live shows. His gift for song writing, however, is undiminished. I would much prefer to see Paul in the studio creating another Chaos rather than on the stage attemting to sing Band on the Run.

The TV series Outlander.
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! I have all the books too, but am only on #3! She is publishing a 9th one soon!
I just watched the last episode of Season 5. Another time traveller asks Claire "Does the name Ringo Starr mean anything to you?" Looking forward to Season 6 in March.

RE: Help save Paul's voice !!
Sadly I think Paul's voice is beyond saving. It's even painful to hear his speaking voice these days. I'm not sure why Ringo sounds the same as he did 40 years ago and Paul's voice has aged so badly. Perhaps the starin of continous touring over the past 20 years. To my ears there was a noticeable change in Paul's voice from Flowers in the Dirt to Off the Ground. There was a world tour in between those 2 albums with lots of stadium shows.

Love the new lp , his best since Chaos . Wish he would work with Nigel again
Welcome, see you are new member. I loved CHAOS and thought Nigel was fantastic producer who was not afraid to tell McCartney something was not good. This led to a fantastic album with no clunkers. I am also enjoying "McCartney III".
Chaos is Paul's masterpiece. Released 15 years ago and I listen to it all the time. My #1 McCartney album. McCartney III is #19.

I almost feel as if I have to apologise before I say this...
I love Paul.... but I keep listening to McCartney 3.... and I just have to say.... whilst I am proud of him for getting the-high in the album charts... this is my least favourite Paul album of all.... it just does not grow on me... the "best" songs are worthy of the seventh or eighth best on any of his other releases.
I love him. I love him heaps. But an ordinary album. A wasted opportunity. But, as others have intimated, this release could've been the best since Adam was a boy and Eve was a girl, and it still wouldn't have sold all that much more. Such are the vagaries of music in today's world for an ageing artist.
Still, an ordinary album.
I try, but I cannot kid myself that it is anything more.
Toris, you're not alone. The only song I really like is When Winter Comes. And Find My Way is good. I have the Japan CD with the 4 bonus songs in my car and will give it a 3rd listen today, but this definitely won't be an album I'll want to revisit in the future, like Flaming Pie, NEW or Egypt Station.
I agree. As I stated before, it's fighting for last place with Wild Life and McCartney II on my list of Paul albums. It's a shame that it ends his (almost) uninterrupted streak of great albums starting with Flaming Pie. Hopefully this doesn't mean his next proper studio album will be released 4 years from now as oppossed to 4 years from Egypt Station.

Paul has been on such a hot streak since Flaming Pie with his only misstep being Driving Rain. I'm afrid that McCartney III has put an end to the (almost) uninterrupted string of excellent albums (Flaming Pie, Chaos MAF, EA, New, Egypt Station). McCartnety III doesn't come close to any of those. This is likely to compete with Wild Life and McCartney II for my least favorite Paul album.
Tommy...feel bad that you aren't crazy about McCartney 3 but you aren't the first here on Maccaboard that are relatively disappointed in the album. Conversely...me, Yankeefan and Anthony B etc. love McCartney 3 as you've probably seen on this thread. Because it has been the holidays, they're still regulars who haven't reported.
Just curious...what don't you like. Is it some of the vocals, the lyrics etc. Personally I love the cornerstone pieces (the opener and closer), Find My Way, Pretty Boys, Women and Wives, Slidin, Kiss of Venus and Seize the Day. All future classics in my opinion. Just me but I think on the whole, it's a terrific album and miles better than Wild Life and McCartney 2.
I've come to accept the fact that Paul is 78 and his vocals are going to reflect his age. His vocals certaily didn't stop me from absolutely loving ES. Regarding lyrics, I couldn't care less. As far as I'm concerned lyrics are simply the melody messenger. The songs you mentioned I actually enjoy to some degree, other than Slidin, but none of them would make it to my list of top 50 McCartney songs. Long Tailed Winter Bird, Deep Deep Feeling and Deep Down are not my kind of McCartney songs and overstay their welcome. Quite frankly I don't think any of the songs are as good as Home Tonight or In a Hurry and they're songs that didn't make the cut for ES.
