    • RE: Set List critique

So in terms of the setlist and critiquing...after attending last night...

"Can't Buy Me Love" is a TOUGH opener. Such a strange choice. Completely exposed vocal lead-in. Makes it obvious from the beginning that his voice has declined.

The rest of the opening electric set is tight. Every single song got a great response, even "Come on To Me" as a new tune. It was nice to hear "Got To Get You Into My Life" again as it had been a long time for me, and to hear "Getting Better" for the first time. Moving into the piano set, it was nice to hear "Let Em In" again after a long time of it not being played, too.

The rest of the piano set is when things slowed down a bit in the crowd. We were in the 7th row, dead center, and when "My Valentine" began, nearly every butt hit the chairs. That one just brings all the momentum to a halt. But, "1985" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" pick it right back up (no matter the condition of the vocals...)

The acoustic set was fantastic. While I'm personally tired of most of it, the crowd was swinging between on fire and in tears with the likes of "Dance Tonight" and "Blackbird". To me, this is where it would be very easy to throw in some acoustic-band songs that haven't been done in awhile for us repeat offenders, but still keep the first timers engaged with stuff like "Two of Us" "Mother Nature's Son", "Every Night" etc.

From there on out, the energy just grew and grew climaxing at the end, as it should. It was nice to get a reprieve from "Eleanor Rigby" and "Back in the USSR" after a long overstayed welcome. I was also impressed at the number of people around me singing along to "Fuh You" and "New"! The only changes I'd like to see here are on the encore. He's just screaming through it. All three songs leading to the Abbey Road Medley, he's just shouting. The master of melody, shouting...there's got to be a better way...nevertheless, a splendid time was indeed guaranteed for all, and t'was delivered! Here's hoping there is indeed, a next time to see ya...

    • RE: Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD, June 12th - CONFIRMED

He's the man. Baltimore rocked, as we all knew it would.

Gosh, I remember getting on here and writing huge reviews and everyone chit-chatting about each other's experiences...and it just seems like crickets post-show now!

    • RE: Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD, June 12th - CONFIRMED

We  can rule out any speculation of Ringo and Paul crossing paths this week...Steve Lukather and Edgar Winter tested positive for COVID, rescheduling their remaining dozen dates to September.

    • RE: Paul and Ringo - Both Touring the U.S. in June

Definitely not gonna happen as the remainder of Ringo's tour is being rescheduled to September. Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather have COVID.

I was really hoping that this would be my opportunity to finally try and meet Paul through a sign at Soundcheck as I truly owe everything to him, but the VIP email I just received made it very clear that will not be happening, and understandably so given the status of things as this pandemic concludes.

SO...I'm trying to think of another way to interact...and was wondering if a sign at soundcheck is even visible from halfway back in a stadium? The song I'd love to hear most is "Every Night" and I know it often gets in the rotation at soundcheck. Think there's any chance of it happening if I had a sign to request it?

Who knows but I would doubt it. I had an alligator sign with a pic of an alligator & everything but it wasn't in his plans apparently. This was in 2017 soundcheck.

Thinking maybe I'll do two sides of the sign, and use the other for during the concert since we'll be in 7th row and he usually takes a moment to mention the signs. I could write a short but sincere message about how much all of my elementary music students love him, passing on the music etc. I wouldn't keep hoisting it in the air though. I hate when people relentlessly flash them around all night...

    • RE: Paul's schedule

Yes, I think it is way more likely for Ringo to showup at Camden Yards, than Paul show up at the teeny tiny Lyric Opera House one of the two nights Ringo is there. Though, I'm not holding my breath on either as I think it would be most likely for Ringo to show up for Paul's birthday at MetLife Stadium rather in Baltimore, despite the coincidence of them being in town for up to four consecutive nights and three concerts.....

    • RE: The Rarest Paul Song You Seen/Heard Him Perform Live

I suppose "rare" is a relative term, but these are the ones that come to mind in my history that I've only heard once or twice, and were not played much ever before or after...

      2009- "I'm Down"
      2010- "Birthday" at Ringo's 70th Birthday Concert
                      "Ram On" in Philly
2011- "I'm Looking Through You" at Yankee Stadium (very short shelf life in the set!)
2015- "One After 909" in Charlottesville

Sorry! I was just reading off what someone else had posted on FB! Either way, it's the same rotation he's been working thus far.
