For what it's worth, I also wanted to bring into the discussion here that while Paul is in Baltimore on June 12th, Ringo is in Baltimore on June 13th and 14th. Ringo has a show in Rhode Island on June 12th, but both Beatles have off on June 13th, and Paul is off on both of Ringo's show nights. I really can't picture Paul McCartney just popping in at The Lyric Opera House with the All-Starr band, but the timing is absolutely insane that his first Baltimore appearance is just days before Ringo's couple of nights in town. It's also worth noting that Ringo has a free day on June 16th, when Paul's tour concludes in NY before continuing onto Boston. Perhaps Ringo may appear at MetLife Stadium?

RE: Set List critique
So...any guesses on what may turn up in the setlist of intrigue this time around? Not looking to generate the same old crap about how nothing changes...just wondering what songs we suspect could get trotted out that haven't been ever or lately!
I could see "Find My Way" joining the set in the opening electric portion. Maybe "Seize The Day" in the magic piano set midway through the show. I know it's not "new" but I suspect "Love Me Do" will purposefully stick around to make mention of the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles. It's also well past time for a new show opener. He has a habit for the past decade or so, of dusting off primarily Lennon-based lead vocal early Beatle tracks (as if to put his stamp back on them?) as the opener...perhaps we'll finally get "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and/or "She Loves You"? I suppose "Get Back" could also make a fitting opener, but it's a tough one to start on, vocally speaking.

RE: Paul Mccartney 2022 - rumours
WOW!!! I am overwhelemed at the idea of Paul coming to Baltimore! Truly a dream come true...and thank goodness it is well before our trip to Hawaii! However, my wife will be sitting this one out. My Grandmother is so incredibly excited to "get back on the run" that she and I are finally considering after all the shows and traveling we've done, to capitalize on NOT having any travel/lodging expenses...to finally pull the trigger on SOUNDCHECK! There's no way we could afford three of the tickets at that price level and frankly, my wife (while still a fan) probably wouldn't appreciate the SC experience as much.
We will have access to the AMEX presale on Tuesday. Are VIP Packages included in that, or do we have to wait until Friday for them? WE've never even been able to consider them before, so this is a piece of the puzzle totally new to me!

RE: Paul Mccartney 2022 - rumours
After a nearly five year hiatus from this board... I come bearing (hopefully) news...
...We literally JUST booked our Hawaiian vacation about an hour before this story broke...so naturally, I won't be able to sleep tonight thinking about the embarassment of riches abounding as we near the light at the end of this tunnel on the pandemic. Of course, the cynic in me won't be able to sleep fearing that Sir Paul will finally be in Baltimore when I am not... anybody have any leads on when these US dates are happening? It seems like the links above suggest the month of May.

RE: Montreal, QC - Bell Centre- 9/20- CONFIRMED
Have a blast, all attending...I won't be "watching" live on here, but I'll check in around 10pm or so and see if anything was "freshened"...maybe a couple rotating songs?

Oh.... this thread is about to get REALLY busy!!!!
Tell me more?
I'd say this is THE set for the remainder of 2018. For some cities that's not a bad thing. However, take the people of Tokyo for example. There are only FOUR new songs on Japanese soil...and threee of them are from the newest record. He'll have to adjust greatly for the US in 2019.

I hope he will at least add "Back In Brazil" to the setlist when he's, you know.... back in Brazil!
Don't count on it. If he's starting with three songs from the record it will continue to shrink from here. The only way we MIGHT get another one is if he puts one in place of "Michelle" once he's out of the French locations. Perhaps "Happy With You" or "Confidante" could go in there?

I just realized the setlist that was posted has no "Mull of Kintyre"?
He's never done it in Quebec. Probably given the whole "french" thing...

Maybe the show is called Freshen Up, because it's a big 'F.U.' to all of us.
LOL that's good.

The UK press is going to rip him to shreads over this "Freshen Up" he's advertising...

RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
The only thing I'll say in defense of the set, is that there are 10 songs on there that have NEVER been played in Quebec. That's a fair result for someone local that goes everytime...and in my opinion, those are the folks that matter most. Not the repeat offenders like us.
That being said, "From Me To You" is the only bone really thrown to the long-term repeat offenders...and it sounded damn rough at Grand Central.

I wonder who this "weird willie" clown thinks he's playing with, on setlist.fm lol

RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
I don't understand the purpose. Why not just continue calling it "One on One"? Was it just a dirty ploy to move tickets? It's the "One on One" tour...with three new album songs...From Me To You, Let Em In, and Michelle....and horns! (okay I like that part)
-
RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
1. THAT IS SO COOL!!! The Horns!!!
2. How do you know the legitimacy of that list?

RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
I wouldn't say we had any heads up! He's used orchestral instruments for one off shows (like grand central) plenty of times...he hasn't hosted them on tour since Wings Over The World!

Hold the phone...HE HAS THE BRASS?!

RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
It's a whole new low for change in the stage show. He literally titles the show "Freshen Up" and for the first time in his touring history, does NOT prepare a new opening song for the new tour.
-
RE: Quebec City, QC - the Videotron Centre 9/17 - CONFIRMED
Well...there went any hope of new "old" material. Probably 4-5 new albums tracks replacing the "NEW" album songs, plus Four Five Seconds and a Beatle tune that's been inawhile, but not a staple.

Did he really open with AHDN???
