Thinking about it a bit and it made me wonder. If Paul and his band can rehearse some Jimmy Buffet songs to perform at tribute concert, how come they could never seem to rehearse a few new songs for his tour -lol.

RE: Paul McCartney and the Eagles will honor Jimmy Buffett at the Hollywood Bowl
The big question to me is what songs will Paul play? It is a tribute to Jimmy Buffet concert so he should not be singing his Beatle/Wings hits. If you had to guess, what Buffet songs would Paul and his band play?

RE: Paul McCartney and the Eagles will honor Jimmy Buffett at the Hollywood Bowl
My youngest niece had Jimmy Buffet as one of her clients for years, posted a picture of her with him after he passed away on this board. I will ask her if she is going to the event and can she take her uncle - ha ha.

RE: Taking a Closer Look at Paul McCartney’s Sneaky Great Late-Period Album ‘Chaos and Creation in the Backyard’
I think it depends on your mood when you are listening to albums. MAF is fun and quirky (Mr. Bellamy) and makes you want to dance tonight (pun intended). CHAOS is a thought-provoking reflective album and nice to listen to with a nice glass of wine -lol

RE: The 100 Best Beatle Solo Songs
Beats me. There are too many SMH rankings IMO to list and that is definitely one of them. I was just happy about "Maybe I'm Amazed" being #1 and a bunch of fairly recent Paul songs making the top 100.

RE: The 100 Best Beatle Solo Songs
I could make many suggestions to the songs selected and the rankings. I posted this mainly because I was pleasantly surprised a Paul song was #1 and not a John song. For many years, people ranted that Rolling Stone magazine hated Paul and was over the top with favoritism of John. I don't think that is true now because most Paul albums the last 20-25 years have met with critical acclaim by Rolling Stone critics. I think "Maybe I'm Amazed" is a deserving and correct #1 song. To be honest I thought they were going to select something like "Imagine" as #1.

I loved "Summer of 59" also which was the B side to "Jenny Wren".

RE: Taking a Closer Look at Paul McCartney’s Sneaky Great Late-Period Album ‘Chaos and Creation in the Backyard’
Actually, I think it is his best solo album ever. It was not very commercial album and the mood for the most part is somber. Usually, a McCartney album will have a clunker or two no matter how good it is, this album is flawless IMO. Kudos to Nigel Godrich for getting and demanding the best from Paul. He had the guts to stand up to Paul and tell him the truth when something was not good. Sadly, too many people don't even know this great album exists which is a shame.

Very sad news. I am sure he is not handling the death of his wife very well.
