I am SO there...was looking for an excuse to ditch my high school reunion!
Rats, had to work today & missed crowdsurge presale. At Citi Field, the floor was MUCH more fun than the grandstand...but I have to try for reg. prices if I want to attend the anticipated Sat. night show, as well. Hoping for good luck in tomorrow's presales; otherwise, I'll be leaving it in the hands of my husband on Monday. I have optimistically made hotel reservations.
Good news, it's also during Summer Restaurant Week in NYC!
No luck with the Live Nation presale - but somewhere, I thought I saw the pricing which indicated no floor tickets would be available. Still, had my husband hard at the keyboard...I provided direction, as I was involve with work. Gave up...headed into the office, in time for the AmEx presale. Husband was trying from home; we communicated via cell...wouldn't you know, we both had tickets come up at the same time! Mine were better, A4/row 26. Told him to wait until mine were confirmed, and they were.
For those who were not able to get tickets through presales...on occasion, I have snagged BETTER tickets in the general sale, so don't give up - persistence is the key - keep trying, even after you think it is a lost cause.
On Monday, husband will have the task of obtaining tickets for the anticipated second (and, dare I dream, a third) show. The guys that work for me all agreed they would hate to be him...too much pressure.
I'm hoping for an opening act...Sir Paul has excellent taste. I enjoyed The Script (yes, they are my favorite Irish band!), and was first introduced to the Kaiser Chiefs at Anfield - they are back together again & terrific.
I find I have a better appreciation of the opening act if I familiarize myself with their music ahead of time, but your mileage may vary.
With the McCartney/McCartney II remasters coming out, I'm hoping for Teddy Boy and/or Junk.
sat show on sale at 11:40
Full moon Friday night!!!
I am totally psyched to leave tomorrow morning - we have 1:45 lunch reservations, then hope to see the Linda McCartney photo exhibilt before the concert - I'm quite sure I will be exhausted, given that I won't sleep much tonight!
Very friendly atmosphere here !
