oobu24:^^Macs! LOL! It's already been moved! :
Great song BTW!!!

I've been giving Macca/Beatles albums a miss for a few months in order to catch up with some new bands and music in general, my latest album is Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, on the first few listens, its good, imo its very much influenced by Macca and Ray Davies

Yeah, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is an amazing album. In Fact, Paul, Noel and Ray Davies are my three favorite songwriters.

Kathryn O:If Paul could read my message, I'd say thanks for all the music. It's really helping me through some rough patches. (A friend just dumped me because he confessed he hates McCartney and says it took him a while, but he's finished with me as we have little in common anymore).

I put on Paul's music and decided Paul's music is worth it. (not to mention my friends in the fandom both online and in real life)

but it still hurts a lot as this friend is very important to me.

I don't think that he is a real friend, if THAT'S the only reason he dumped you. The taste in music is not a reason to end a friendship, it shouldn't be. I don't care if a friend listen to Paul or to Lady Gaga, at least everyone has his or her own taste, so a friendship should not built up on that or should be at least stronger than disagreeing on a movie or a music-artist.

I guess you pick a song, in this case, Band On The Run, and then you take another song by Paul and make a new choice, f.e. Band On The Run vs. Beautiful Night. And the next one pick one of these two songs and so on. Don't know if one song is out, he can get in again after some time.
Maybe I'm completely wrong, so Mclenarr should explain the rules.

Dr. Dog - We All Belong, sounds like something from Abbey Road, like someone in the comments below the video said

Franz Ferdinand - Eleanor Put Your Boots On, also very Beatles.

The Seahorses are good indeed, esp. the song 'Love is the Law'. The singer also looks like Lennon. (but Oasis are a far better band of course than Seahores)

Funny Paper:

dance-tonight:1. The Kinks - The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society

This is such a good album.
The Kinks made some great music between '65 and '72!

Yes, fantastic album, but the Kinks made also great music from '73 to 93'.

It was a joke! I knew very well what I imitated cover. Besides, if you look behind me, it is framed on my wall!

Oh sorry, haven't seen it.
