Another favorite Christmas song is Adeste Fideles, my first go at another language in my childhood choir.

Stirring stuff.

Another favourite of mine is Do You hear What I Hear?, a song which I'm sure most of you will be familiar with. Tons of versions are available of this song but i think its most suited to a childrens choir, such as this one:

The children's choir is indeed a great choice for this song!

We have so many images here, of the Christmas carolers singing in British towns and villages, or next to old churches and cathedrals. Is this still a custom in the U.K.?

One of my favourite memories from the 1998 Christmas season is Rockin Santa singing Jingle Bell Rock. Sung by Bobby  Helms.

Every time I see a new photo from the last year or so, I am SO glad he finally let his hair go gray.

Totally agree! Finally looks his age. And what a great lookin gray it is! He wears it well.

I think he looks 10 years younger than his age, even with silver hair! Not many men 77+ years old look as good as Paul! ❤️

I have been thinking the same as well. It really suits him very well. He's always been very cute! THUD!!

Good  pick, I did too! Should be on the list

☆☆☆☆☆☆Spoiler Alert, dont' read if you haven't seen it yet☆☆☆☆☆☆

Saw the movie and really enjoyed it!!!  Thought of it as a parallel universe, where there were no BeaTles, Oasis, Coca Cola, or cigarettes.

Wish Chris Martin was in it.

I don't think the UK has as much cable coverage as in the US. When I looked at some real estate ads, they had on the property listings, the speed of the cable in the area. You have to remember, England has been around for so long, many homes and businesses went back to the 14th, 15th century. Especially in the villages, things did not come all prewired or with bathrooms, in those days. When adding, after the fact, it's not as easy to do.

OMG, Dick Clark acted like an old letch!

I never knew the song was about a little girl! Always thought it was about at least a teenage girl!

Yellow ~ Coldplay

NancyR I'm quite sure you are reading that wrong. When bikinis first came out they created quite a scandal on how skimpy they were. Mothers & Fathers, didn't want their teenage  daughters wearing bikinis. I believe Dick Clark's comment was to the song, not the little girl.   Little children were pretty asexual then and parents sent both the boys and girls out in just underpants, to jump in the sprinklers on a hot day. They were banned by the Vatican and girls had to cover their bellybutton, back in 1960 when that was made. Of course Europeans probably had bikinis earlier. We still don't go topless on beaches.

Will Paul McCartney play in Greece for the first time?http://www.mixgrill.gr/ar65662el-erxetai-o-paul-mccartney-stin-ellada.html

Looks like this is a one day festival June 5 with the Red Hot Chili Peppers already booked. Although the site does mention another artist TBA...??? Paul and the Red Hots??? Quite an eclectic mix!

That would be exciting!!! Anthony Kiedis is a great frontman!

It's Kathryn O, it's good to see you again!

NancyR where did the meme go?

I'm assuming this thread is about Wonderful Christmas Time? That is one of my Christmas favs...I love the lyrics and the bells especially! Bought some bells myself because of that song...

I hear it a lot in stores...

A Warning ~ Anonymous, A senior Trump Administration Official.

A must read about the daily chaos in tbe WH a real page turner and the incredulous diversions and leaking from everywhere, due to worry about how our country is being lead. Compared to walking a cliffs edge..." staff who developed a bizzare sense of fraternity, like bank-robber hostages lying on the floor at gunpoint, unable to sound the alarm, but aware that everyone else was stricken with the same fear of the unknown".

Most shocking thoughts and revelations so far.

-" It was getting ugly. As the old saying goes, this was no way to run a railroad. In fact, if railroads were run this way, trains would go in the wrong direction, or never show up at all, or crash into each other. The conductor would be unqualified, the engineer would be fired in the middle of a trip, and Chinese built trains would zip right by us, watching the disaster with wonder at their unbelievable good fortune".

- " Trump was all over the place. He was like a twelve-year-old in an air traffic control tower, pushing the buttons of government indiscriminately, indifferent to the planes skidding across the runway and the flights frantically diverting away from the airport. This was not how it was supposed to be"
