that's funny you posted that link, claudia a few days ago, or a week ago or something, suddenly that song started to play in my head. i don't know why, as i haven't heard it in a very long time. i enjoyed really hearing it this time, again, thank you for some reason that song reminds me of 'close to you.' the melodies a little similar?
wow herb alpert was handsome, wasn't he?
i wish he had been an actor in movies, don't you? and given us an eyeful
natty, the big black doberman i take care of, is a sweet thing, and loves going outside at night (all night). i have to let him in and out, in and out.
do dogs in general love to be outside at night? he has a big party out there. the yard looks beautiful at night, almost even more lovely than in the day time. natty must feel like he's the king of the yard and countryside. he bounds about in high spirits, and barks more in the middle of night than he ever does during the day. certain times he looks like 'the hound of the baskervilles' out there in the dark. but he's actually a big sweetie
'rise' a really cool, sexy song and video many thanks i love 'retro' stuff like that, and vintage movie mags that feature 'liz and dick' -- and ted turner classic movies, movies were the best back then, i sometimes feel that very strongly...
'sting' looks tacky there (laughs). the whole thing is so 80's. but that was a good album. 'i have only come here seeking knowledge, that they would not speak to me in college'--
'king of pain, i'll always be king of pain' (i've felt like the queen of pain in the past, but for years now 'i haven't got time for the pain, i haven't the room or the need for the pain'-- i'm not 'the queen of pain' anymore, and as you might imagine, glad about it )
good lord, why wouldn't paul want to perform in Oz...some of the most uber enthusiastic cheering screaming wild adoring massive hordes in the world there, he'd never forget it, the reception he'd get from the aussies just remember what all they did for the fabs
so much love
(and they'd make beaucoup big bucks, a billion gazillion )
yeah, i wondered about that too, andy. i guess she was. she didn't try to dress sexy for him, looked like a librarian, but those were different times i guess when not every ingenue tried to look like a 'ho'
thanks for 'king of pain' claudia
wow, thanks, claudia, i sure don't mind looking at and listening to herb he's got a real mellow vibe
is he mexican or at least half-mexican? if so, he must be one of the very tallest mexicans, he and ricardo montalbon. you don't see that many tall mexicans. we've got a lot of mexicans in the south now, and they've really jazzed up the environment, they've really added a lot of vivid colorful artistic good things to the culture i love 'em. some helped me get my car out of the swamp once when the road was flooded and i ran it off the road almost hitting a big tree.
what kind of feedback did you get for meat free monday, oliver/21 century paul ?
you didn't steal any of my lyrics, did you? (LOL)
thanks for this info. i say, it'll be fun to see and listen to all the entries they deem worthy--makes me wish like heck someone had agreed to place a tune to my admittedly kind of odd lyrics, and made a vid of me singing it with them providing musical accompanionment in the back ground, hee hee. man would i have got a kick out of that of being featured, too
you must have jumped for joy, absolutely burst with pride, over how they acknowledged and praised your work, oliver. wow you lucky (also talented) duckie
when did this happen? can you provide a link to your praised effort? i'm sure i'm not the only one who would love to see it.
are many other winning entries already being shown on paul's you tube channel, meat free mondays section, is that where you said?--oh--these are on a special 'meat free monday' channel just for the cause
you've really piqued loads of interest. i'm glad for you, barcelona boy oh, wow
