Bruce Springsteen's son has become a firefighter in Jersey City, N.J. Bruce and Pattie beamed at the swearing in ceremony, full of pride. Their daughter is an award winner with horses. I wonder what their other son does.
Loretta Lynn is planning a tour for her eighty seventh birthday year; seems like not long ago she was in hospital again with serious difficulties. This lady is a tough bird. She's in the news chatting up her plans and trotting out the old saying that 'country music is dead' bring back the genuine old style country as it has become too cr oss over and 'POP' she maintains. What say you?
Billie Eilish won big at the Grammies, five big ones...I hated the two songs I heard by her on youtube, real debbie downers, so depressing but maybe she's the antidote to Tay Tay Swift sounds, or something. But Billie and Lana del Ray music which I also hate can almost make one wish to end it all as everything is so dire (sobs}. Lana's singing makes my ears hurt. I do need to give some ear time to more Billie songs, having just subjected myself to two. Perhaps I might like a few.
The Brit 'Oscars' the Baftas show is Sunday; hoping cutie Taron Egerton wins 'cause he worked so hard and did a great job in Rocketman, methinks. But I suppose the Joker actor will take all. That movie isn't exactly feel good and not one I'd ever wish to see.
The B-52's will break up the band sometime in 2020, they announced. It will be no more. They have some fun, feel good songs which can improve one's mood and are enjoyable.
Billie Eilish sang a touching effective rendition of "Yesterday" on the Oscars show this year to go along with remembrance of show biz movie folks lost to us.
Timothy Chalumet will play a young Bob Dylan set around the time Dylan went electric, in a new movie biopic of the legend, who also is the subject of a current Broadway show that showcases his songs.
Katy Perry is pregnant; baby is due this summer ! Hers and Orlando Bloom's. She said they plan to marry in June in Japan. But the latest is there's a glitch in those plans; hope it gets straightened out ! She's 35 so it's a good thing she finally will have a child before it's too late. Before it gets harder to conceive. Russell Brand, her first hubby, was appearing in Oz when this news came out and he went into a long rambling discussion of romantic heartbreaks in his life, on stage. After Katy, he did get hitched again in 2017 and has at least one kid.
