SusyLuvsPaul:Surely he knows better :
Of course he could re-record it for the reissue."Never seeing ANYONE nice again..."
Congrats to the 2010 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants!
I was an instructor doing training classes for the holiday season at a large company in Southern Oregon. I believe I saw the news on the internet when I got up that day. I had heard he had been fighting cancer, so it wasn't as big a shock as losing John. But he was SO young, only 58, and it was a very sad day nonetheless.
BarbB:Oh sorry Susy, I was comparing him to other shows I've seen. ;)
Clayer, I use Google News when I want to know what Paul's up to, and it was on there.
There's less chat in general between songs on this tour than on previous tours. Less chat = More songs.
Frosty the Snowman by the Ronettes
All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey.
...an amazing human being. A hero. An inspiration for those who long for a better world.
My son was born in April 1980 about 8 months before John was killed. He was named after both John and Paul.
The US Tour in 2005 had several surprises...I'll Get You. Man, NEVER thought I'd hear that live...then when Too Many People segued into She Came in Through the Bathroom Window. THAT blew me away! Totally unexpected. I've Got A Feeling. WOW! Please Please Me in the encore...TOO MUCH!
Then at Hollywood Bowl 2010 more surprises...Venus and Mars/Rock Show...OMG he DID it! Letting Go...BEAUTIFUL! Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five...another one I thought I'd never hear...UNBELIEVABLE! Day Tripper...OK I can DIE now!
All because I did not look at the setlist before I went to either! For the US Tour I did not read any reviews, and I stayed away from all concert postings here for 2 months before I saw him in San Jose.
Seriously though, I have a Beatles' Collection with some Paul goodies, and some John Lennon, too. I also have a Record Collection, and a collection of movies on DVD. Not huge, just stuff I would want to watch again.
Also, a collection of travel maps and brochures.
Paul was at Georges' side as he was dying, holding his hand. He does beautiful tributes to George in concert. In the end they reconciled and were friends and brothers again. That's all that matters. You should let it go.
