illwobble:Wow, I had no idea it was still going!
I saw the documentary on it, and it's probably my fave CD, but I assumed the show had finished long ago.
That CD was actually the first Beatles album I bought, followed by all the others!
I'd love to see the show, but I always said Las Vegas was the last place I wanted to visit on Earth!!
It was planned to have a run of about 10 years. The theater alone was $100 million dollars. The Mirage, Cirque, and Apple all made huge investments in LOVE.
The price will only go down when people stop buying.

Stop buying and they will make the excuse that they have to RAISE the price because people aren't buying
The GAS TAX will go up ......
because the gas tax money is suppose to go to fix the roads -
if people aren't buying ...... they have to get the money from somewhere -
ah yes from those who do buy .... just scoop up more from them.
In 2008 when it hit almost $5.00 a gal. it worked. The recession hit and people stopped buying. The greedy oil companies had to give in. The price tumbled almost $2.00 a gal. in the U.S. Now they're giving us all the excuses, uncertainty over the wars, same old same old. I guess the idea is to get us ready for it. $5.00 a gal. as normal.
Cheapest in San Diego now is over $4.00, averaging about $4.25! It SUCKS!
martinput:William and Catherine returned to Clarence House after the afternoon reception.
We were promised a surprise and under the watchful eyes of the Prince's own yellow search and rescue helicopter flying his flag over the Mall and the Palace the couple drove themselves to Clarence House in "Dad's" blue Aston Martin - top down of course.
Dressed traditionally with balloons and bunting, and bearing the number plate JU5T WED, William drove with Catherine by his side - still in her wedding gown both waving happily to all sides.
It was just a short drive but a delightful bonus for those reluctant to leave the Mall.
It was a beautiful wedding, and I loved the common touch when they drove the Aston Martin with the "Just Wed" sign through the throngs. A nice touch indeed! The British sure know how to throw a party, huh? That must have cost the Royal Family a pretty penny.
are my favorite Country artists.
The_Fool:It is really tough when they keep moving the goal posts
I thought I was going to buy a new pair of tennis shoes (gym shoes, sneakers, all purpose shoe) ....
Possibly see a movie at the theater.
Go out to eat at a moderate restaurant.
See a game or a play -
but not today or any day as far as I can see
it all seems to be going in my gas tank
so I can work another day for my gasoline
and the bills get put in a hat ....
I pick .....
the house payment today ..... sorry car payment, electric, phone bill ...
maybe next time ...
okay this time .... but that leaves me with nothing.
Yup, my little raise I got at work last week...it all goes in the gas tank! There is something freakishly wrong about that.
oobu24:Why doesn't gas come down as quick as it goes up? I heard oil was down $10.00 this week?????
Come on...someone lower theirs first!
It will but they have to refine it first, and we have to use up the more expensive stuff first too. They can't just lower it at the pump. That's what they paid for it.

These are what I used to call profit pockets .... they keep the change hidden. They sure are quick to raise the price in an instant ....
to lower it takes a long time.
Yes...maybe this should be in the Dear Mr President thread
Pass a law about this please. Price gouging.
He doesn't have anything to do with gas prices. And I believe Congress is looking into gas stations Price Gouging.
