oobu24:Why are you being logical? : What a party pooper.
I thought you were being serious. I gave you the facts. And what did you want? A JOKE about it? :
Agree with Pipes of Peace though it has a couple of excellent tracks, notably the title track and So Bad. Say Say Say wasn't bad either. But the rest is just throwaway with some bad lyrics to boot, and The Other Me maybe the worst song he's ever done. It sounds like it was thrown together to fulfill a contract.
Wildlife is a close second, then McCartney II.
I know Press To Play gets slagged a lot. I used to love it, but haven't heard it in years. Have to give it another listen sometime. Maybe the reissue.

HOW? that album may possibly beat out Band On The Run in my book...
Maybe the world really did end and only Matt noticed...
hey, im not crazy here! think about all of the great songs. "my love", "get on the right thing", "When the night", "big barn bed", "little lamb" and then that medley. my god...that album is just GREAT.
Agree! RRS is one of his best and my second fav after Venus and Mars.
They should have put a stop to oil dependence for gasoline 30 years ago when the oil embargoes started. It's just gonna get worse unless we get off the stuff. It's like being addicted to heroin, the West doesn't know how to stop. But unless we see the wisdom of doing it, it's going to bring us to our knees.
Ferry Cross The Mersey by Gerry and the Pacemakers.
BOYCIE:Can't agree with you there at all, if you play the song you play it properly. If he can play bloody Dance Tonight all the way through he can play Junior's Farm complete. He did the same with Rock Show too, just as you're into it, he jumps into Jet, it's a little aggravating. It's funny how he elongates Paperback Writer, which it doesn't need, then he shortens JF and RS, it's like treating your children differently, not good.
Sorry bud, but you're off base. They're Paul's songs and if he wants to change 'em around or drop a verse that's his perogative. He's been doing that with the ending for years. Sgt Pepper's Reprise straight into The End. That's what makes a great live show. Changes from the record! And if you don't like it, to quote him: "it's my show and I'll do what I want!"
I was surprised at the 2005 tour(I think it was) when he dusted off one from my very first album back in the days of Beatle mania, Til there was you. I was tunned he would even consider that one from that album. What about in Nashville (I think you were there) Him doing "Tequilla" surprised me.
Thinking about my reaction to "Til There Was You" when I bought The Space Within US DVD, you're right.
Any other songs from 2005?
For me it was I've Got A Feeling and Please Please Me. But the real surprise was the B-side of She Loves You...I'll Get You! The US Tour was a great setlist! Jenny Wren!
The Chris Farley interview. Just the funniest!
A year later and no new posts? Well... I just saw U2 last night at Anaheim Stadium and they were in TOP FORM! They rocked the full house!
The Claw was just mind-blowing and the crowd was GREAT. It was my first U2 concert and it was just FAN-tastic! Anyone else seen U2 2011!
