I saw the 5th Anniversary of LOVE two weeks ago and it was even better than the first time I saw it in 2006. It was also only $55.00! They are having lots of specials running now.
beatlesfanrandy:Well here's some more Vinyl to appreciate...The Beatles Remasters! Coming in Sept.
Well apparently now the Vinyl reissues have been withdrawn.
The Beatles LOVE coffee mug at the LOVE Boutique in Las Vegas.
This man will do more for Vegetarianism than anyone around. Paul would be proud!
Kestrel:herc:kestrel admitted that she doent listen Paul's music anymore, she is more into other artists,ok she loved him for many years that's why she is here
I don't recall ever admitting that i don't listen to Paul's music anymore. I actually do still listen to his music occasionally......time permitting.
I'm definately into other artists though. I think its totally unhealthy just to listen to a few select artists to the exclusion of thousands of other artists who also make great music.
I've certainly never loved Paul. I enjoy his music and admire the guys natural musical talent but thats it.
.....and finally, kestrel is a he, not a she ....at least i was a he when i last looked.
It's yer avatar you know, people think it's you or represents you.
Never loved Paul? Then what are you doing here? He's not just a natural musical talent. He's a frickin' musical genius and a living legend. And he's got a Gershwin Award to prove it.
beatlesfanrandy:Never loved Paul? Then what are you doing here?
I'm here because i can seemingly do what you are incapable of doing and thats seperating the work from the person creating the work. And its the work that matters.
Actually I am quite capable of separating the work from the person. I love the person for his greatness. I don't love every song or piece of music he's ever done. But you are totally wrong. It's the person that matters.
Top of my head choices...
Beatles - White Album
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Beatles - Abbey Road
Led Zeppelin IV
The Who - Who's Next
U2 - No Line on the Horizon
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
The Who - Quadrophenia
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Exodus
I just discovered Elvis Costello a few days, and to start my collection I bought The First 10 Years greatest hits. And after listening to it a few times I love it and want more. Looking to buy his first 2 albums and hopefully they make it into my top 10. I think they will. Might start an Elvis Costello thread if there is not one already.
Try Armed Forces. Excellent!
The nice thing about these reissues, McCartney, Floyd, The Who, U2, is that they are really worth getting. These are some fantastic sets!
