audi:I've listened to God-knows how many hours of Paul McCartney in my lifetime.

There's only one cringe-inducing line:

"I'll be feeling blue" -- from 2001's "Your Loving Flame"

Anything he wrote for HM is cringe-inducing to me!

I don't know - except for the whispered 'Heather' line, I like the song 'Heather'...and my reasoning for not liking the whispered line is not related to what I may or may not think of Heather...It just doesn't come off very well...

Yeah, but he didn't write Heather for Heather Mills, did he? Wasn't it for his daughter Heather?

Post

audi:Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

?????

Is it because I dared to mention her name?

The one on Driving Rain was certainly written for HM.

HM? Yeah, that could still be Heather McCartney!
But the uploader of this video got it wrong then, you think?

He/she says:

Paul said he was just messing around on the piano and came up with this tune, and Heather (McCartney, his daughter, NOT Mills) urged him to get it on tape because she thought it was a really nice tune. So he called the song Heather.
