favoritething:Reminder to those just joining in:

Bob G (above) suggested that we be on the lookout for announcements this Wednesday the 19th.

'I've got a feeling' about Candlestick Park (not that I'm anywhere near it, unfortunately!).

OK, Today is Weds. the 19th and I don't see any "announcements". I am on pins & needles about Candlestick...I am SO there!! This waiting is killing me. I'm not gettin' any younger, ya' know.

So here we go again!!

I am now all "atwitter" ...waiting for the California dates & venues to be announced. (any maybe Denver if I can swing it).

I wonder if anyone else gets the same physical symptoms when knowing announcements are forthcoming? Or am I weird?

makes a difference if you're paying for those VIP seats.... why you rolling your eyes

Rolling my eyes because it seems silly to quibble about a minor inconvenience like the stage setup when the whole purpose of going to a concert is to see HIM perform. If a person is able to pay a lot of money for a VIP ticket does that mean they are entitled to be close enough to see his nose hairs? Does it specify on the VIP ticket that the VIP ticketholder will be X amount of feet from Paul? And then when the VIP ticketholder isn't as close as they had hoped for, are they allowed to sue the ticket company?

year40:Stadium fight for Sir McCartney?

SF Chronicle

The 49ers are in talks with Paul McCartney to perform the opening concert at their new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara - a move that would effectively yank the rug out from under San Francisco's plans for the music legend to headline a final send-off concert at Candlestick Park.

I will go to either one, but if I had my preference, I would choose Santa Clara. Nicer stadium (from what I hear), much better parking....plus a half hour closer to home (not that it really matters). Candlestick would be nice for nostalgia, but it's a bit decrepit and the parking sux not to mention it is cold ALL the time.
