love2travel:I've seen some pretty good ones....

such as?

My dog does "about face" & then "reverse" & goes the other way. lol.
She does "gimme paw" & "gimme other one".
She jumps in the air when I raise my left leg. I have no idea where that came from but she started it! And this is a 60 pound dog.

beatlesfanrandy:I think every song on Chaos is incredible and I think it's his best album even over Band On The Run! Memory Almost Full has some weaker moments for me, but it's still great. And then there's Electric Arguments, another classic by Paul and one of his best albums ever.

The one that really disappoints now on listening is Driving Rain. I'm glad he toured behind it, but some of it is downright embarrassing to listen to with others. Especially if you're trying to convince them Paul is a great artist. Still it's better that he put that out than nothing, and it has about 5 great moments. We should all have bootlegs that sound as good.

i agree with most of your observations about pauls 'recent' albums.
however i could easily accept that you dont care for 'driving rain'[i actually love it] but i would like to know what you think is "downright embarrasing' on that album. : :
to me theres nothing on 'driving rain' that gets even as close to 'bad' as the likes of 'english tea' or 'gratitude' from 'chaos' and ' memory' respectively. :
driving rain has the odd raw vocal at times but i cant think of any track on there that is really that bad.

Have I awoken in an alternate universe : Randy NOT LIKING something of Paul's & Lazy sticking up for it :

I better get back to bed

Well, I guess you never heard "big boys bickering".

Post

^ I wasn't condemning him OR complaining about him using the word in Big Boys Bickering...I was just pointing out to you "L" because you had stated "I've never heard Paul swear or say anything of a profane nature, out loud at least, in concert or otherwise".

yuk...no...I don't care for any of his duos actually. Some are catchy but still...no.

You can adopt purebreds from your local shelter. Or you can find one on petfinder.com...I did!

^ yes, you have to be careful with some dogs! My dog was a hunting dog & she will follow her nose if she picks up a scent. I have never had her off leash when we go on our walk/run at the park. She'd never come back. Her nose tajes over & she's gone! Of course, some dogs are always off leash & are obedient. Not mine...

oh Border Collies are very neat looking dogs. They can be trained to do a number of things! You should start looking at some dogs at your local shelter & see how you feel about them. Or look up "border collie" (if you want that breed again) on petfinder.com. You can type in the breed & search by your zip code. They will show you all the dogs available in or near to your zip. I just like to check out what's available. Poor babies.

I have done that ..... in fact there is one this weekend that I will try to get there. (A bit of a drive - but can be worth it if I find one I like).
It is sad to see dogs in the shelters or rescues .....
some are older and may be a good fit for the right person. I just went through the older dog and the care and attention .....
which is why I am looking for a younger one if possible.
(It may sound a bit selfish .... but it has to be a good fit for both of us).

* Some rescue and shelters require that you have a "Fenced in yard." I do not. When I moved here .... my dog was already trained and took just a slight bit to have him stay around. I really like Border Collies .... yet --
I may get something completely different -- so it is a new dog to me.

LOL...that's why I wanted an older dog! haha...our 17 year old had died & I knew I didn't have the time right now for a pup & after losing an older dog I wanted kinda the same calmness in a dog. Our dog is older maybe 7-8 & is so sweet. I just love her. I think dogs know when they have been rescued from a death sentence. They are so appreciative. We looked for 8 months before we found that special face. Good luck to you & I hope you find one that fits!
