I just got 4 tickets to the Candlestick show. I've seen Paul 10 times before -- including the Berkeley shows.
I spent the night in Stockton, first place in line for some 32 hours. That paid off since I had 7th row center at Memorial stadium. I was a Cal student at the time, so it was pretty awesome to just walk over to the stadium to see that show.
The seats aren't great, but they are on the floor, so it will be a cool experience. It will be my kids first big concert, actually. You never know when Paul will stop touring, so I wanted them to see him.
I think it comes down to true randomness for all the layers of the technology stack to let your request through. Kind of crazy.
Anybody who has gotten tickets get an email confirmation? I see them charged to my CC, but no email confirmation. It's probably OK, but I'm used to getting email confirmation for anything I purchase, usually within 1 minute.
sophie:crowdsurge confirmation e-mail will take awhile - later today or maybe even tomorrow.
I am going to be very disappointed if Red Rose Speedway doesn't come out. I supposed to some degree I care more about remastering and HD audio than the packaging, but the packaging is very nice.
In fact, if they don't release everything from 70-80 in individual packages, they should at least do round-up deluxe packaging (e.g, Wild Life/RRS as one package, London Town/BTTE as another). OK, that is a stupid idea, but I would really like to have the deluxe packages of all of the work on my bookshelf.
Will an Amex presale link appear at 10 on ticket master?

And of course it did. I had a chance at some tickets, but "tried again" and it looks like I'm coming up with nothing.
Sorry to cross post this, but I do want to make sure these tix go to a real macca fan.
I don't have the physical tickets in hand yet, but will have 4 tickets on the floor in c4 Row 17 at Candlestick.
I plan to go on other tickets I have lined up, but don't need these any more. Face value (with all fees is) $696.25 for the 4.
I would really like these to go to a real fan . . . PM if interested.
BTW: I am *really* excited for this show -- the last Beatles concert and (less importantly) the last place the Oakland A's won the baseball World Series!
I was there with my son and we didn't see anyone famous. But we did sit next to the Dodgers chef, her husband, and his brother. Very nice people all around us actually.
WingsOfMacca:"Rock Show" shows his real potential in WOA, the same for "Magneto and titanium man", "Letting Go"... Venus & Mars has seven or eight great songs but when I listen WOA I can't avoid the idea of why did Paul made V&M so... soft (referring about the sound, not the quality)
I completely agree about this. I've always felt that the transition into Rock Show from the Venus and Mars intro should have been so much harder. The guitars sound weak and muddy going into the song. As a result, I prefer the just released Old Version, and certainly the WOA version.
I have always considered the title of SOS to be "Wings at the Speed of Sound", but in the new deluxe version it is called "At the Speed of Sound" throughout the book.
I guess its the latter or somebody made a big mistake in the production of the book.
