When I first listened to the Beatles I was about 5 years old, friends of my parents were recording from the radio to a tape recorder. Later, with the daughter of these friends, we listened to the old records and looked for any information about our favorite band. Maybe you don't know, but in the 60s, 70s and 80s in Bulgaria it was very difficult to find something about "western" music. In '81 I was a schoolgirl in a nearby town and travelled to my home town every week just for a night, in order to listen to and record "Your Annie's" BBC Radio show introducing Philip Norman's book on the true story of the Beatles. The radio was then banned and muted, I transcribed each record on a typewriter machine and distributed it to friends. I grew up and grew old with this music. Because of the Beatles, I started learning English, because of them I learned to play the guitar, even though I have no talent for it. Thank you guys, in small beautiful Bulgaria you have millions of fans from several generations.
I wish in 2024 I could be in the audience at Sir Paul concert, which I never even thought to hope for 40 years ago!
