Ringo11:
i keep forgetting it's october! scary thought really i thought it was about time we got paul inot a good old fashioned action thriller... or nearly one anyway. so i went from this to this (because that was my first thought on seeing this poster and i think he is anyway) to this!
Excellent! You matched the Font perfectly (I have trouble with that alot). I like the wordplay. I was listening to a Beatles on the BBC recording the other day, they were talking about "Help!"...and the announcer said to Ringo, so you are like a "Double-O Seven"...and Ringo said "No, I'm a Double Entendre". Podgie (the handsome) Monkey Podgie
font is the bane of my life! there are no good fonts on my computer. i had to create letters out of what i had there with ransom. it took ages, not an easy task. i do it all the simple way because i have photoimpact which is nowhere near as good as photoshop. i also used paint for that one because it's better at getting rid of some colours. i found a site with lots of film posters so i'll be contibuting a lot more to this thread when i have the time... this is a lot of fun!

Tori in Texas:
Great Job, Ringo11!!! I like the look on Paul's face, too! You picked the perfect photo! It looks really good.
thanks tori! it's a great feeling to get praise from the pros finding the right picture is the hardest thing, besides font. i really wanted a later one for the singing detective but i had to go for expression instead.

Back to Halloween... Maccenstein... "Honey, I'm Home!" Bride of Maccenstein. Kinda like "The Munsters". Podgie (1313 Mockingbird Lane...oops, strike that...can't give out addresses here...website rules) Monkey

Actually King Kong is my hero! Man, if enough people beg me...maybe I will post "The King Kong Stomp" (another from Dracula's Greatest Hits). What a classic! Man, Heather would be excellent in a remake... Podgie (Son of Kong) Monkey

ROTFLMHO!!! Paul looks very Fred Gwynne-ish there! That is perfect!! (It's a shame Fred Gwynne was type-cast...he was a very talented actor and it showed in Pet Semetary and My Cousin Vinny). Yes! Please post the King Kong Stomp! Paul & Heather would do well in a remake of Mighty Joe Young, too. Better ending for the gorilla!

ROTFLMHO (oops...there it goes...rolling across the floor and out the door...) Starkey & Hutch! LOL!! You could print that as a postcard and send it to Ringo. If he doesn't know about the show...maybe Barbara can esplain it to him. At first I thought you were doing The Dukes of Hazzard...(Does a Knight beat a Duke? Wait...what comes next? If Paul gets promoted again, does become Prince? I say, GO FOR IT!!)

LOL!!! Fay Wray (is she singing backup in the King Kong Stomp?) You know every time New York City erects another world record building ...somebody does a remake of King Kong. So when they build the Freedom Tower - there's your chance, Podgie! Looks like a good place to park your blimp. Top looks kinda sharp though.

Man, they are remaking King Kong!!! I just did a search...Jack Black...Wow!!! And playing King Kong is Andy Serkis!!! He was Gollum in "Lord of the Rings"! And you're right!... PETER JACKSON who produced "Lord of the Rings" is making this movie! I can just picture Kong picking up the Beauty...and saying "My Preeecccioussss!" This is gonna be the neatest thing!!! Still could be a classic with a Podgie Monkey as the lead...if they wanted a comedy with Jack Black. I am psyched...have to wait for Fall of 2005. Wow! When I was searchin' I found that they are making a "Curious George" movie for Fall of 2005 also. Wow! I wonder who the Man in the Yellow Hat is gonna be? I thought 2004 was suppose to be The Year Of The Monkey...looks like Hollywood is a year behind. Podgie (Stadium seat already reserved) Monkey

Wow! I didn't know they really were doing a remake. I was making a joke. Must be on to something though. New tallest building = new Kong movie. We went to see Shark Tale yesterday. The animation is outstanding. Will Smith, Jack Black and Martin Scorcese did a fine job. They captured DeNiro perfectly as the mob boss great white shark. They even had the little mole on the side of his face. Can't see it here. But I got a big kick out of Doug E. Doug and Ziggy Marley as the Rastafarian jellyfish. I wonder kind of fish Paul would be.

us kiwis are kept up to date on these things. pete's a kiwi, i'm a kiwi, you know how it is, small country, big pride and all that he's filming it now isn't he? i think you can actually watch the filming on the net if you have a fast enough connection. nothing given away about the film but you get to watch the behind the scenes as it unfolds type thing. i think it was on holmes... but only i know what holmes is... hmmm. i was thinking of going to see sharks tail as well, if i can find anyone who wats to see it with me that is man cream is awesome! the band, not the dairy product. i've got it right up, cranked it, as they say, got crossroads blasting from the speakers, crackle and all. anyone else keen on cream? i reckon paul and eric would do well together on a few tracks. maybe that can be the next real adventure of james paul mccartney (just to bring this back on topic )
-
actually, speaking of jack black, anyone see school of rock? maybe we should give macca a good part in that! then those kids would have torn the house down at the end!
-
I liked "School of Rock", I thought it was a real good movie. I also just saw "Shark Tale" What? What?! Whatcha mean what? You said What first!? What? I liked it! Yeah the Jellyfish mon were cool! A veggie shark! Man, I think Paul would like the film! I've never been to NZ, but I have cousins in Auckland. After seeing Lord of the Rings, I'd really like to go there. That's a good question, What kind of fish would Paul be if he was in the movie. I gotta think about that. Podgie (hmmm...I know it'd be a veggie fish, but i don't think Shark) Monkey Oh yeah, the new King Kong will be back in the 1930s again (so no new tall building). Most of it will take place on Skull Island (the "King Kong Stomp" is wrong it isn't deep in the Africa jungle...it was on Skull Island). Jack Black said they had planned on Fay Wray saying the classic line at the end, but she just died. "It wasn't the airplanes that killed him. It was Beauty killed the Beast."
