Podgie, here in The Netherlands they didn't broadcast the Andy Griffith show.
Aww, that was a neat old American show from the early 1960s. Paul woulda actually been a better Sherriff Andy McTaylor with his little son Opie. You may know Opie, as the the little kid who sang "The Wells Fargo Wagon is a comin' Down the Street" in the movie "The Music Man". When he grew up, he went back in time to the 1950s in another show called "Love American Style" and was so good, they gave him his own show "Happy Days", where he was Richie Cunningham. When that show ended he lost his hair and went into directing. I like the theme song for the show...it was whistling. You'd be whistling it the rest of the day if you heard it. Podgie (I saw a guy on "America's Funny Videos" and taught his parrot to whistle it, that was really cool!) Monkey

Thanks for the explanation.

Podgie, were you thinking of George Lucas' movie "American Grafitti?" I think they based the "Happy Days" TV show on that movie...but I may be wrong. But American Grafitti also had...Harrison Ford in it! (Before he was Hans Solo and Indiana Jones.) So now we're back full circle. LOL!!! And Billy Preston sang "Will It Go 'Round in Circles" Hmmm mmm..(I'm singning)...and Billy Preston was one of Ringo's All-Starrs and was awesome and of course he played keyboard on Get Back and was in Concert for George and in Let It Be with the Beatles and Paul was a Beatle and now we're back full circle to Paul again. (I'm gettin' dizzy going in circles like this.) Well, hemmingway...hey, here's Opie...I mean, Ron Howard. Opie Wins Big Hey, Pa! Look what I caught me!

Indiana Paul Oh, bloomin' heck!
Great story Tory
Thanks, feact. This photo kinda looks like...Paul of Arabia I don't remember that movie much...other than the music and it's, like, 14 hours long or something. Lots of sand. And camels. (Watch out - they spit!)

Oh...I dinna know that. (Was it an Apple pie plan for mmt...just wondering. ) OK...well, I slipped into the Twilight Zone there for a moment. I heard saw Rod Serling standing over in the corner of the room smoking his cigarette and saying "Submitted for your approval..." So...be warned...this is the scariest picture yet...

...for all those people who gripe about Paul's HAIR...
-
Paul'd OK, so...if Paul's ever having a _bad hair day..._he can just look here...see? Paul's hair is fine. Where is that "Paul's Hair" thread? I think I'll go find it. And shock 'em. I shall call it "Pauld"

Blessed. Not that there's anything wrong with a guy being bald... just hard to imagine Paul...bald...Pauld. So we'll skip expedition to Hair Club for Men. Maybe Donald Trump could go instead.

it is hard to imagine him bald! i guess he has had arguabley the world's most famous hair. the mop top. which is probably why most people keep talking about it. i do love the dark hair he had when he was younger though. it was a lovely colour. i miss it really.

Paul's always had great hair. It is hard to imagine Paul bald...but, you know, now we have a visual aid, so there ya go. On to another adventure. That makes me think of the scene in Help!, you know...."The Exciting Adventures of Paul on the Floor"...in the chewing gum wrapper. Yes, everytime I see a stick of Wrigley's chewing gum...I think of Paul in a gum wrapper. Now that would be a gag gift for Paul....swim trunks or a beach towel that looked like that white Wrigley's gum wrapper. I bet a lot of people would get the joke. "Finished swimming? Okay...here Paul...wrap up in this." LOL!
-
pauld LOL...I knew Paul would be a better Andy or Barney, than a Opie. I think Floyd would have taken more off the sides. "Happy Days" started as a 15 minute short on a tv show called "Love American Style", somewhere in my vast collection I have a copy of that program. I think only Richie and Potzie were in that one. It became the pilot for "Happy Days". The episode may have been created because of the "American Graffitti" movie though. I'm trying to picture Rusty as Opie, 40 years from now. Podgie (Heeeeyyyyy!....Sit on it!) Monkey
