Have a great trip, Podgie! Hope you have your bananas packed. Don't plug your electric guitar in. Think of the Travelocity Roaming Gnome: "American appliances do not work on European outlets." All I can say is.... Heather, Heather, Heather... Water on a paparrazi photographer? You know that water only works on Wicked Witches! Use the Spider Man Web Blaster instead. Guaranteed to work on paparrazi. (Oh, but keep a bottle of DejaBlue handy in case Bea gets thirsty...or you run into Carol Malone. )

Well, I'm leaving BOAC...hmmm...looks like they dropped the OC..."I'm leavin' from Boston BA" tonight. A week and a half in England. Going into Abbey Road Studios, I wonder if they know I'm coming?...why I can just imagine if they do... I emailed Abbey Road to see if it is true that they don't allow photographs or singing during the event. I couldn't imagine it, no photos to post? How Absurd! Haven't heard from them, don't actually expect I will. Probably won't be posting for a while, while I'm overseas. Podgie (Off to see the Wizard, hmmm...no Wizard I suppose...just off to see Emerald City) Monkey
Saturday March 19, 05:50 PM Beatles Studios Opened For First Time The recording studio made famous by the Beatles is opening its doors to give fans a chance to look inside.Abbey Road has begun inviting the public inside for the first time. The zebra crossing outside the studios was featured on the cover of the Beatles' Abbey Road album in the 1960s, and fans have been photographing it ever since. Every year around 180,000 visitors come to Abbey Road to follow in the footsteps of the Fab Four, who were shown crossing the road. Now, for 16 days only, fans can see inside the studios in St John's Wood, north-west London, where the Beatles recorded most of their hits. But the studios existed long before the Beatles - the very first recording at Abbey Road was back in 1931 - conducted by Sir Edward Elgar. Today it is one of the most technologically advanced facilities in the world and become the studio of choice for many top filmmakers. In the last 25 years scores for more than a 150 major feature films have been recorded there, including for the most recent Alfie picture. To celebrate, Studio One has been transformed into a cinema to showcase some of the best. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4362159.stm (including a video)

Welcome Back Podgie.
It's great to be back! I just got my digital photos developed, I had a hard time trying to figure out how to get the roll out of the camera. Man, I had a really neat time in England. Did alot of neat things, and have some really neat stories. Some cool photos from the trip... Yup, that's me in Studio 2! I'm trying to figure out where to plug in. Ya woulda thought that they would have people around to help with stuff like that, but the only people I saw in the Studio were either selling stuff or looking for cameras. Wow! The actual studio where all those hits were recorded! And I was there...really...I was! I have more proof I was there also... Shoulda used a thick Marks-a-lot instead of a thintip Sharpie Gee...I wonder how my name got on that wall? : Podgie (Here, There, and Everywhere) Monkey

It's funny, this thread is mostly about putting Paul into different movies. This time it's putting me into "Let It Be"! Yup, this is the Building that the rooftop concert took place on. The first thing I noticed was..."Hey! The building next door is missing!" Very strange. I suspect that the building that goes up next door will be a bit taller, and will probably have a Beatle roof observation deck. That's just a hunch. I know if I owned the building, that's what I'd do. It's not a long climb up to the roof, the drainpipe is a big help. Actually it's alot easier climbing the planking on the construction side. Podgie (just don't look down) Monkey

Hey, here I am again. Recreating a scene from another movie. Yup, the opening of "A Hard Day's Night"!!! I couldn't get any girls to chase me, but I had no problem falling down. Podgie A Hard Days Night Podgie (Just like George in the original...except this remake it's more like Curious George doing the acting) Monkey

Yeah know, speakin' of George and "A Hard Day's Night" (that was one of the two movies I saw at the Abbey Road Film Festival). It was really neat flying home to the States. I noticed that the pilot took George's directions... We did turn left at Greenland. Podgie (I think the GPS screen in the plane was wicked cool!) Monkey
