Hi Sam, You were saying that John used an uncaring attitude as a protective shield to hide his insecurities. What was John insecure about? Did he think he was funny looking,or was eh afraid that people would think he is unmanly if he showed hsi soft side or was it something else?

Sam Leach:
Hi Samcat. Yes Man Utd beat us but even Alec Ferguson asmitted we outplayed them anmd were robbed of the clearest penalty I've EVER seen. Thanks for your nice comments and support anyway. Cheers. Sam.
Sam, I know the feeling. I saw some of the worst refereeing last year at the college level with American football as Penn State had a number of calls go against them, so much that the coach grabbed one of the officials at the conclusion of the game. I am happy that Utd won, but that happiness is dampened in the matter of the win. Hopefully something will come out of it, but I doubt it. Cheers, Samcat

Sam Leach:
Oliver. Give them 10 but make sure you have what THEY"RE going to do for YOU in writing first. Cheers, Sam.
Well, my family tells me that if I let them change the songs it won't make me happy at all. (Well, I haven't got to write any song, I've got almost "unlimited" stuff) I'm still in doubt. People related with the business (and know about it), like you and some others I know here, tell me to do it. But my family, that know me, tell me not do it. They say it will be "selling myself" and my believes. I think that maybe there is no other way of starting, but maybe there is another way too, I don't know. I've heard that record companies in the U.K., if they heard a single guitar note on a record... they stop listening to it. Maybe that's a chance for me to get in. And in future try to change it. If it's possible for me to "change it". I think only the Beatles have really "changed it", so still there are "guitar music"... It's me who has got to decide. Well, "21st Century Paul" means this... get into the present situation and try to change it like they did. But I'm not The Beatles. But I know for the songs I've written... that I could as good stuff as them. But if this manager is "a brick on the wall" I'll never could do it my way... The way it's got to be. mmmm... This is like thinking... who I AM REALLY? If I've got a exaggerated or inflated view of my music talent I will be wrong to accept. Because I won't change anything with my music. But if it's right that I'm as good making music as I think maybe I could change it all. Still thinking about it...

Hi Tashi....thanks....yes it's great here! ....poor sam must get dizzy reading all the posts and responding to each and even one. Hey Tashi I saw your thread about the Let It Be vinyl.....I LOVE collecting vinyls...I have a lot of old ones...picture disks and colored ones....so, of course, I had to order that one! ....none of my vinyls are that valuable, however, I was able to get Klaus Voormann to sign my Revolver LP ....I love collecting memorabilia....The only Beatles autograph I have is Ringo, he signed my ringorama CD at FYE in NYC....(were you there by any chance? ) ....but it's a start!, right! Hi Sam, it looks like you have a full time job here besides whatever else you do. Hey, btw I sent it..thanks again. ..oh! and I checked out your site....very kewl ...haven't had a chance to sign your guest book yet, but I will. peace and love, joanne

I've thought. It depends of how far they will go with those arrangements. I couldn't accept they "crash" my songs. If their change it's "acceptable" it could work. I'd like to know how they work. I think I will accept, at least to see what they want to do with my songs. Has rock'n'roll or music a God? If there's any... I'm in his hands.

21stcenturypaul, I would definitely ask to hear some of their previous work on CD first. When I was choosing a studion to record at, I asked them each to play something similar to my style to see what they did with it. The studio with sound I preferred, I went with. So, in picking a manager, you should definitely make sure you hear some of their work.

I'll try... well he has done from salsa to heavy metal... he's from Netherlands. I'll take a listen of some of his artists' records... that could be a clue.

I've done research... they never gave me the manager company name but names of two Spanish artists produced by them. So I tried to guess who they are... Hold on tight everybody! I thinking I'm messing with the Toppermost of the Poppermost. (Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and many more...). Hitvision, the name says it all. mmm... And I understand everything know... Well they have done music of all kind but we know what is his current sound.

Sam, please have something special for dinner on Thursday to share in it with us too, okay? Hope everyone is having a great day! Take care! Love and hugs, Merry

Hi Joanne, LOL! I agree! Sometimes I get dizzy trying to keep up with this thread and I don't even have to answer everyone! I also have a sizeable collection of vinyl albums but unfortunately my record player went kaputt a while back. Some are my favorites are: a set of interviews with Paul and Linda from the 70's, a picture disc from Linda's Wide Prairie and the White Album, complete with poster and photos. It was cool that you got to meet Klus Voorman and Ringo! No I wasn't at Ringo's signing. These old bones no longer have patience for lines and crowds. ~Tashi

Hi Sam, Sorry to hear about your server troubles . I hope the people at Blue Yonder get everything straightened out soon. Verizon gives us a lot of trouble here sometimes so I understand how annoying it can be. Cheers, Tashi
