Hi Sam, From reading reviews of your website and book it seems like you don't have an enemy in the world. You are one lucky fellow to have nothing bad written about you. You seem like a great eprson without a mean bone in your body from hearing what people say about you.

Paulfan:
Sawying Diasy what Happy Days spinoff are you talking about where the girls ahd a poster of the beatles on the wall?they quote] Sorry Paulfan, I thought I wrote it in my message but I see that I didn't. I meant the Laverne & Shirley show. In the later episodes they have a huge Beatles poster on their wall. They first appeared as two girls Fonzie knew on Happy Days. I will keep my eyes open for any other references to Elvis or the Beatles on Happy Days. I've been catching some reruns lately.
-
Thanks Swaying Diasy. I used to watch Laverne and Shirley too. I don't remember seeing a beatles poster on their wall but I'll be sure to check if I watch the show again. I can't wait till you tell me if there are any beatle refernces on the show. Who knows maybe I'll find some too.

Hi Christina (Harleyblues). Sorry but for once you're WRONG !! John and Paul met on Saturday July 6th 1957 (see my book on page 34). July 8th 1957 was a Monday. It crossed my mind that your question may have been referring to that. Many people argued about which Saturday it was and it took me to prove beyond doubt the exact date in my booklet `Follow The Merseybeat Road' which was published in 1983. Boinnggg. The first time I've known you be wrong. Now THAT'S history ! Love and hugs. Sam.
-
Hi Mike I've only just read your posts about England and Liverpool and you're quite right. Our food is highly overpriced and the service isn't in the same league as America. But I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the trip and that you'll be back. Liverpudlians love Americans which is another reason you enjpyed your trip and will always be welcomed back. Sincerely. Sam.
-
Hi Giri (Paulfan). Thanks for your nice ccomments about me but there are ex-rivals from Merseybeat who hate me...so I can't be all good, heh, heh. The Cavern management, and many other rival promoters, hated the sound of my name because If I was doing a show nearby they were invariably empty. Bill Harry, because he didn't like what I wrote in my book about the TRUE formation of his Mersey Beat Paper, has now done a complete U-turn on my part in Merseybeat and won't even admit that I exist, heh, heh. Here is a link to his site. Read where he mentions all the IMPORTANT promoters in Mersybeat, but NOT me. What's he like ?? But it gives me a good laugh !! The silly thing about his change towards me is that previously he was always complimentary about me in his books. And I've always acknowledged his importance in the evolution of Merseybeat. And I still do !! Here's his link. http//www.triumphpc.com/mersey-beat/ Now you and others can have a chuckle too. Cheers. Sam.
-
You're welcome Sam. IT seems like Bill harry might have been jeaous of you. From what you says it does him not lkining you because he was emptied. Did you and Eppy get along real well? How about George amrtin if you ever met him? I'll check out the link you posted.
-
Hi Giri (Paulfan). Eppy and I got along personally but if you've read my book you'll know he worked me out of the Beatles early History. I've never met George Martin. Cheers. Sam.
-
Sam, Maybe I will take a look at your book someday. IT is pretty bad they way Eppy treated you. I wish you would have managed them instead of Eppy then maybe they wouldn't have gottne taken advantage of like John siad. Who knows if you did manage them after they became famous you may not be here chatting with us now.
-
Hi Giri (Paulfan). I've always said that The Beatles may not have made it without Brian Epstein. He did the job that fate had in store for him...and did it well. I have absolutely no regrets. Cheers. Sam.

Hi Christina (Harleyblues). Sorry but for once you're WRONG !! John and Paul met on Saturday July 6th 1957 (see my book on page 34). July 8th 1957 was a Monday. OMG Sam I think you are wrongo again~ beacuse according to KFRC~ 99.7 in San Fransico. the lads met July 8th 1957!!!! now how do we prove this>??????????? urgent matter???
-
Christina (Harleyblues). I think I should know better than a Radio Station in San Fransisco but they only have to get a computer and work out what day July 8th fell on. It was a MONDAY. Paul and John met on a SATURDAY (JULY 6th 1957). And if they check out Bill Harry's Beatle Encyclopedia on page 1033 they'll be able to read it for themselves. They obviously don't know too much about Beatle History or they'd have my book. YOU have my book anyway Don't you believe me ?? If you do show it to them. And if they'd like to place a bet I'll wager $1000 I'm right. You should have a little more faith in me !! Love and hugs. Sam.

Hi again Christina Hit the link below. It's on Google.com. (Or type in July 6th 1957). http//www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=july+8th+1957&btnG=Google+Search Scroll down to the 6th item on the list and you'll see a report of a beseball game (Baltimore Eagles I think). There it says quite clearly the game was on SUNDAY JULY 7th 1957. That would suggest that JULY 8th 1957 was probably a MONDAY. Paul and John met on SATURDAY JULY 6th 1957 at St Peter's Fete. End of arguement. This Radio Staion should now give $1000 to Charity. But we KNOW they won't...right. But at least they'll have learnt not to argue with Leachy, heh, heh. End of argument...right ?! Love and hugs. Sam.

Well Sam at least Eppy got the job done. Just as long as you have no regrets that is what coutns. I should also thank Eppy without whom as Paul always says in his speeches for giving us the beatles.
-
re the date ... I went to Philip Norman´s book " Shout-The True Story of the Beatles " ... " The fête planned for 6 July 1957... " page 45 Obviously, Sam Leach is right and the Los Angeles Radio Statio wrong. shock Maybe they can beat Sam on Jacko´s matters cheers,

July 6th it is! I went on a tour in Liverpool (great city) the day of the concert with Jackie Spencer -- where we actually went to St. Peters Church -- I bought a poster there which I am looking at right now which says In This Hall on July 6th, 1957 John & Paul Met Cheers! Mike
