Yes, I'm not. I don't have the experience of singing in front of crowds, TV and all that . I would need time to get used to it, if they ever wanted to. But I'm a much better songwriter than Adam so I'll lock Brian and Roger into the studio for months just to record some of my songs as "Queen+Oliver Sanz" or anything... The problem will be that, knowing me, I'll end playing guitar and drums myself if they don't play as I want them to play. Quite like Paul playing drums and guitar solos in The Beatles... time to remember an informal old recording... well, I'll post all my Queen related stuff, well.. some... Freddie+Oliver, me getting "Freddish..."
and then there's the 2004 Queen tapes... -
yet there's no announcement at Queen's website http://queenonline.com/

To see Queen perform their songs the band needs a singer. On the many occasions they've performed since Freddie's passing they've had guest vocalists. Each time there has been a storm of debate about whether the person selected is worthy of filling Freddie's role and, of course, the reply has been a resounding no. I can never see the day the band tour simply as "Queen" again, it'll always be Queen with (insert guest vocalist name here) My instinct is if Brian May and Roger Taylor connected with a new soul-mate capable of not only performing their old catalogue - but also stand shoulder to shoulder in the writing of songs lyrics and music then any such collaboration would be under a new band name in the same way Foo Fighters arose from the ashes of Nirvana after Kurt Cobain took his own life. Brian and Roger and all associated with the "brand" know they are always tiptoeing on egg shells when dealing with the legacy of Freddie. Meanwhile they have announced an appearance at Knebworth this year - the last venue that Freddie appeared at before his death - and have conducted interviews in promotion of that. So they need a new vocalist, and it appears he's been chosen - but it's most likely be temporary arrangement - no-one, fans or the band, could adjust to anyone getting comfortable long term in Freddies boots. They could of course perform without a singer and host the worlds largest kareoke party ever - I think the fans know the words Mind you it would be fun to have a giant kareoke screen with bouncing yellow ball highlighting the current word in the lyric line. U2 does that occasionally duing their sets for the odd song - always great fun when it appears. Martin

Well Brian May and Roger Taylor ARE very good singer but they don't want to become Queen's main singer. Too hard to combine with playing the instruments, I guess.

What about "21st Century Queen"? we would do this one when playing in my hometown, if she is avalaible for the day"(she should). The title could be a hint from Freddie to tell the band where should they look for his "replacement".
