Yes, Christmas time is here again with The Beatles, nice idea. No, I have not sabotaged my video. Though I've sabotaged myself in the Maybe I'm Amazed contest, you know. I didn't ask anyone to vote it. And some did the rest. It was kind of a "protest entry" . Not this time. It's just one of my old "impossible duets" and I uploaded it to youtube for 2010's Christmas.

And for the third year, this is my Christmas recording. (you thought there wasn't one this year? you're wrong ) After Feed The World in 2009, All I Want For Christmas is You in 2010, this is We Are The World in 2011, with video. Well, my karaoke friend appeared yesterday on TV, also appeared in the New year eve's special and also will appear again this Thursday. 3 performances in the 2 most watched TV channels in Spain in a week in prime time. I'm posting one, I'm not gonna post every little thing...
But to make this even more surreal, yet ANOTHER karaoke friend of mine has been selected to appear on the same show. -

Hope they do well. if they make it to the final group, they should tell Simon Cowell to go blow it out his ass even if he has nothing to do with the Spanish version of the program
-
yeah, link down due to copyrights, here's another one https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2968196532658 it links to facebook, I'm not sure if everybody can see it. Here they comment the majors interested in singing him and things like even the Uruguay (his contest) ambassad0r himself is preparing his promotion in Uruguay. I'm not kidding. we're taking over the industry well, there is Risto, who's kind of the Simon Cowell of the Spanish shows. My buddy (the first) is the only one contestant ever to have moved him. I know Risto (not Simon! that would be even more surreal!) from a job interview as an ad creative looong time ago, before he was into these shows. And it's not a bad guy, he is just bold, it wasn't an uncomfortable interview... and he uses to be always right. the way things are going we'll meet again... half of that karaoke people is gonna be on the mainstream. I think I would kind of joke with Risto (Spanish Simon)... cause I kind of did it on the job interview too. And he liked it. He likes it when you sort of stand for yourself, i think Simon doesn't like that.

can you play english tea?
I've never tried but I guess I could.

I've discovered that the 2nd best singer-songwriter ever in Spain is now listening to all the demos they sent to him. He never has signed anyone to his "MPL" but it seems now he's interested. Now I'm researching how to do it and if it's true... He's as good as Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, etc., not as good as Paul, but Paul is not interested, you know.
-
I've found that his company is so 20th Century that they don't have a website not even a email, the only way to contact is mail or phone (yes, or knocking at their door). They have just told me that they accept demos but they've got a whole looooot of demos waiting to be listened. I guess they need months to catch up, so well, I guess I'll sent something and forget until 2013 or so...
-
Good luck! I hope they will listent your demos

I'm not doing anything musically since... the Christmas video I think. I have made some research and discovered places to play. I've found useful websites about it, so there is more places that I expected. Yesterday I went to singer-songwriters meeting-concert on the beach. Something quite special. That kind of famous now buddy of mine that appeared on TV organized an event featuring several singer-songwriters, based on original songs. I went to listen and it was much better than I expected. I was shocked by the quality of the songs, those people use to do little shows here and there, I don't think the money they receive even meet the expenses because of the travel, yet they're very good. The point of that is get some people to know them. It seems all agree that they just forget about record companies, that's gone. The real music records business now is selling some of your CDs after your show, if ever. And that's all, I was invited for the next one. I haven't even logged at reverbnation for a long long time, but I've been still climbing those charts. I still haven't take over Enrique Iglesias on the "Spanish Pop" chart. But now I'm close as I'm #4. It doesn't mean a thing (Like if some chart meant a thing) but I still want to be over Enrique Iglesias. At least I'm over the Enrique Iglesias fake profile. http://www.reverbnation.com/main/bes_chart?artist_id=1692787&genre=Pop&genre_geo=National 2:

LONG LONG POST I'm planning another comeback. After a long time without playing, singing or writing music I might get back to it quite soon. I use to take long holidays so I come back with new ideas and I'm not the same thing over and over. Kind of like if I did an album and then I take a break, then I do another album being different. Last time I got back I sang different, put some stuff here and there on the internet, send one of song of mine to Paul McCartney and he liked it!, you know... sang at karaokes, etc. This time I have been learning some things about singing. Like operatic things, that I guess I'll never use but I wanted to know about it, so it's not like "how on Earth they do that?". Also learning things about vibrato, the Elvis kind. Some vocal things typical of Paul, some of Stevie Wonder, some of Freddie... I haven't learned a thing bout songwriting... except for the fact that I think I will write better lyrics now. I have learned technical things about piano and guitar. I've never had a clue but I've made some research, not as deep as the vocal one I did last year at all... I've made a list of all the venues of the land. Searching trough different websites like reverbnation. I've found something like 50-100 places. I'm kind of in touch with the local music scene now. I have just got to know certain people who got me to know certain things. I had a long talk with that friend of mine that appeared on TV, etc, you know he's kind of organizing little songwriters festivals. I told him that it would be better if we some singer-songwriters formed a "singers/songwriters" band (like The Beatles were, for instance), cause performance of a one man band doesn't attract many people here... You need a band, but 99% of the bands are not so "sofisticated" as singer-songwriters... they're just bands that play the same style over and over, punk, ska, metal... He has done everything, all the process, milions have seen him at TV, and yet he doesn't atract much people on his little shows. So one thing I know/we know now. No matter what you do or are you just can't make it on your own here. But bands and little "orchestras" have it much easier. They kind of create an atmosphere, fill the room, receive more atention... So my goals are now, again, singing playing instruments, composing and also playing live but probably with someone, not alone. I'm invited for him to the next singers-songwriters festival and yet I keep on thinking we can't make it in a separated way here today. Just like Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young or so... but not with 4 guitars. Actually singer-songwriter use to be guys who haven't found a way of forming or getting into a band, we're weird. But if we understand each other... who knows Sort of what I would want to do with all the fellow musicians there if we could be together physically.

So what's the use of writing all this? One use is letting all out, you can't talk about music intricacies with everyone, you know. Also is kind of a diary, so others can see what to do or what not to do . What the heck has inspired me to sing again (besides boredom!)? Well, there's that singers/songwriters little festival and there's the Queen + Adam Lambert concerts. (The thing that has always inspired the most to write songs has been any Paul new album (I mean an album with Paul's new original songs...) but I think I can't wait till he does one again to get that inspiration back) Past week I was listening to a Lenny Kravitz song and I just started singing along all the song, not just little things here and there. Then I thought "What the heck?!" and put on an Elvis hits CD and sang along for a long time. This morning I was sitting watching a Queen + Adam Lambert and I just started to sing along. No warm up or anything (?). I just started singing even the highest notes, till E5 or so. Even doing high notes out of nothing just like when Adam says "Queen!" high and loud, I've never ever done that with zero warm up. I don't know what but something has changed. So my voice is here, even after not singing for a year or so. And I find it pretty strange. That being said I don't think I could have sung the same way for more than 15 minutes or so this morning, too soon for that.

Hey 21st, good to hear about this musical renaissance you're experiencing. or somewhat of a renaissance, it might not be quite that yet but I like where you're headed. you have a musical mind and you should use it! I personally think you have a lot to offer, from the songs you've written that I've heard. so I have a little proposition for you; how about you pick a topic and you and I each write a song basically utilizing the same idea, or song Title. and audi and illwobble are totally included in this if they wanna be. but I feel like writing something new, and I think you owe it to yourself to just get something done! any old piece of shit, just get something done. allow the flood gates to open my friend, you have tunes in you, I can sense it. plus I've been wanting to try to write something on the piano. you guys wanna try to come up with a song each on piano? let me know a title and I'll run with it. Let me know if you wanna do something. Peace and love peace and love, and absolutely no autographs btw I suck at piano so this should be fun
-
oh I suck on piano too, but many tell me they like how I play it. Then I don't think I suck on singing at all, but many tell me they don't like how I sing, so there's something wrong here somewhere.... Well, how are we gonna mix it all together if everyone of us write a different song? I prefer to record covers when recording together. Or... someone writes something then other writes something continuing that, you know... Though it's true we could do a song with 4 different tempos too and making a bit like a medley too. But that would be difficult to record, I think. I prefer the first, sort of like Audi and me (and Paul, only he doesn't know lol) did long ago with Be What You See. Actually Audi got something Paul did, a little bit of some seconds then he continued with that, and then I continued with the bit of Audi. A bit like A Day In The Life. A bit confusing when you hear it the first time but it's a grower. The best thing of its kind since A Day In The Life, I think. www.oliversanz.com/bewhatyousee.mp3 Have you got anything unfinished?

about singing... I was right, yesterday evening I was singing and I decided to stop about 20 minutes or so... I'm not ready for long periods. And I continue not liking vibrato, I don't mind it for low notes, sort of what Elvis did, but not for high notes, I just don't like it...
