Wow, great list judie68! Although I'm going to knock Robbies Bit off of the list cos that's not a Macca song Still, 104 is a massive amount of songs to have seen!

OK, understood and agreed. Robbie's bit is not performed by Paul and as such does not count. Although Paul was clearly watching during the concert if Robbie was performing OK D . It is fun to make the list.
-
As fantastic as "Robbie's Bit" is -- it was basically just a time-killer while the roadies re-set Paul's stage for the acoustic/semi-"unplugged" set of the show.

Is that also what the extended electric guitar solo bit was for at the end of Things We Said Today on Tripping the Live Fantastic?

Don't think that was the intent. Could be wrong, though. I think it was a pre-amble to change the tone/set the mood for "Eleanor Rigby"; in the old showbiz world, it's called "going for your downs." Sammy Davis Jr. used it a lot. speaking of: Was that done for every show?

Maybe it was just a contractual thing: If you want Robbie to be your axe-man, you have to guarantee him one extended solo for evey show.

To be fair though Darth this is what it says in original post
Simple question, how many different songs have you seen live at Pauls concerts? And what were they? Obviously if you've been to multiple shows there are songs that you'll have seen multiple times but I was wondering how many different songs you've seen overall.
And nowhere does it say the song had to be by Paul it just says how many songs at a Paul Concert, so i think any songs that are part of Pauls Set including ones he doesnt perform on should be included
-
So you would count Richard Cory and Go Now from the '76 concerts? I wonder if that was done for my total?
-
What I meant was songs that Paul actually sang or played on. So Richard Corey would count but Robbies Bit wouldn't

Well, if we wanna quibble... ...Paul does, in fact, play on a version of "Robbie's Bit" in backstage footage of either the Paul McCartney: Up Close special [1993] or the Moving On documentary [1994]. I forget which one, but Paul is on drums -- and it's a very brief snippet.

.....Who rattled your cage, eh, Mr Audi!?! I'm basing my decision on the fact that in this video after Paul introduces it you don't see him again

Hey...I saw "Robbie's Bit" -- alongwith Paul's intro -- in the flesh...so THERE!!! Technically, you're right: Paul has never performed on that song before a live audience.

Might be what you meant but isnt what you said so i think you should stick to what you said as we cant guess what you mean! Regardless if he plays on it or not it is part of the Paul Concert - so anything from when Paul comes on stage until he leaves should be included!

Thought I'd would bump this thread with the inkling that it can be added to within the coming months.

I saw Paul do 76 different songs (excluding Robbie's Bit ) over the course of the six shows listed in my signature (plus Twist & Shout with Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park last year).
