This is how republicans keep us safe An annual reminder http://edition.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/10/august6.memo/ Presidential Daily Briefing of August 6, 2001 PDB Declassified and Approved for Release, 10 April 2004 Presidential Daily Briefing: August 6, 2001 - Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.
Clandestine, foreign government, and media reports indicate Bin Ladin since 1997 has wanted to conduct foreign terrorist attacks on the U.S. Bin Ladin implied in U.S. television interviews in 1997 and 1998 that his followers would follow the example of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef and "bring the fighting to America." Presidential Daily Briefing: August 6, 2001 - Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. After U.S. missile strikes on his base in Afghanistan in 1998, Bin Ladin told followers he wanted to retaliate in Washington, according to a [deleted] service. Presidential Daily Briefing: August 6, 2001 - Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. An Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) operative told an [deleted] service at the same that Bin Ladin was planning to exploit the operative's access to the U.S. to mount a terrorist strike. Presidential Daily Briefing: August 6, 2001 - Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York. Presidential Daily Briefing: August 6, 2001 - Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S. The FBI is conducting approximately 70 full field investigations throughout the U.S. that it considers Bin Ladin-related. CIA and the FBI are investigating a call to our Embassy in the UAE in May saying that a group of Bin Ladin supporters was in the U.S. planning attacks with explosives.
Meanwhile, Vice President Cheney was practically erect, anxiously awaiting the attack so that his Haliburton buddies could get the no-bid contract to re-build Iraq after a U.S. invasion. Because -- as we all know -- Saddam Hussein was single-handedly responsible for 9/11. (Can't believe people still defend Bush)
Well, some people doesn't defend Bush NOFX-Idiot Son of An Asshole (with lyrics)
Same song live -
And that was when the worst thing we could say about Bush was that he'd only stolen an election.

Who label guys like this as comedian? Telling the truth, opening up people eyes is being a comedian? Then Jesus was a comedian. : Like... "you know what I say, let the one free of sin throw the first stone" and the people like : It's insulting calling them "comedians" as if they were telling jokes or lies. Not that real comedians are a bad thing! I don't think comedians would like to be called philosophers or so. Well, maybe Jesus was treated like that so he said "Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep."

Better...better...bet-eh-terrrrr." I watched a little FIXED, er, FOX NEWS at lunch, and they keep reporting that the race is in a "dead heat." Bogus! And they're STILL milking that even more bogus claim that our President said "You didn't build that" to small business owners. They had a guy who stars in a pawn-shop reality series and just let him proclaim how he'd built his business, etc. I am really starting to lose my patience with stupidity.

I should know the answer to this trough Wikipedia or anything but I never get it much. What's a "liberal"? I mean who do you call a "liberal" in the USA. I'd like to know if I fit or not in that.

Here's Audi's take: Liberals: Realistic, compassionate individuals who believe that our taxes should benefit everyone at all times -- not Socialism, just a system that is fair. We believe in separation of church and state, and we detest greed and malfeasance. Conservatives: They are socially regressive and tend to allow religion to supercede the basic principles of their country...and logic. (Example: so-called conservative politicians claim to believe in fiscal spending -- yet they are the ones who create outrageous deficits, and history has shown that more progressive politicians are the ones who reduce deficits*. Yet, conservative voters keep on voting for them -- makes no sense). I could go on. Believe me. *Even former President Jimmy Carter had a balanced budget in the late 1970s. The deficit TRIPLED under President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, and, yet, conservatives consider him to be a model Republican...WHY????
-
(see what happens when people educate themselves a little?) Obamacare Is No Longer So Unpopular: "The Affordable Care Act, according to a Washington Post/ABC News survey, is now backed by 47 percent of Americans, up from 39 percent in April 2012. Opposition to the law in the wake of the Supreme Court decision upholding it is also down, from 53 to 47 percent." http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/07/obamacare-is-no-longer-so-unpopular/259720/

then count me in as Liberal, but I think it's Liberal who are more into religious values like tolerance, compassion, lack of greed, though not being necessarily religious...

You've nailed it, Ollie. Republicans have done things that blatantly contradict what Jesus Christ taught and practiced. Jesus wouldn't take away somebody's healthcare.

Oops! This is regarding Team Romney's reponse to the pro-Obama super-PAC's controversial ad, linking the death of a Bain-seized company to a couple's loss of health insurance. Romney Aide's Health Care Remark Rankles Conservatives: "Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul was asked about the criticism during an appearance Wednesday on Fox News. "To that point, if people had been in Massachusetts, under Gov. Romney's health care plan, they would have had health care," Saul responded. "There are a lot of people losing their jobs and losing their health care in President Obama's economy."" Sounds like an inadvertent endorsement of ObamaCare(s), if you ask me. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/2012/08/campaigns-health-care-comments-become-opponents-opportunities.html

I think the GOP is getting nervous. Obama is slaughtering Romney in virtually every poll that matters. And, to boot: When Republicans play the "war on religion" and "welfare" cards this late in the game, that is a clear sign that things ain't goin' so smoothly for their campaign. That crap is usually fodder for the primaries when crazy-talk is a must in order to win over their Civil-War-re-enacting/the-Earth-is-flat political base. Romney ad swipes Obama's 'war on religion': http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2012/08/mitt-romney-ad-religious-freedom-lech-walesa-/1
