Paul as a drummer
-
Some of Paul's best drumming is on "Coming Up". He killed it on MII.
-
Paul drummed on stage in Liverpool 1965. The Koobas were the support act on the UK Tour, and Paul drummed on their final song, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, I think it was, at the Empire.
-
Paul is an adequate drummer. He is certainly not great. John's comment about Ringo was a defence mechanism. His humor often involved attacking others, especially those he cared about.
-
I don't know if Paul played drums in Rode all Night, but is amazing, for me is one of the best tunes where drums are the central

that's supposed to be a jam of Paul (on vocals and guitar) and Denny Seiwell (drums) but it's not like Paul's most popular recording, so there is little info about it.

21st Century Paul:
Okey, so Paul McCartney is probably the best composer/songwriter ever. And is kind of in the top 10 of the best singers ever, best bassists ever.... then there's the guitar playing. What about drums? Ringo is one of the best drummers ever, it might seems like he's underrated but he (Ringo) is very apreciated amongst the best drummers still today. He's #13 on the digitaldreamdoor list about rock drummers.
Band on the run (Phil Collins wondered who was the drummer when he first heard it) Mrs Vandebilt Helen Wheels his impromptu in Chaos and Creation in Abbey Road Lucille, live video of Paul playing drums to kind of LucilleThought he played drums on "What's That Your Doing" from "Tug Of War" album.
-
Unless you're kidding, that is clearly a drum-machine.
-
I forgot about Paul's drum contributions to Steve Miller's My Dark Hour:
Paul plays drum, bass, and provides vocals. Killer tune! -
Paul also played drums on The Ballad of John and Yoko
-
I also thought he was playing drums on Band on the run the album, not only the song but maybe that's what you meant 21stcentury Or I'm wrong hehe

yeah, in all Band On The Run album the drummer is Paul. I don't know if Paul is better than Ringo, but he's better than Abe (and I like Abe!), Mrs Vandebilt's bridge is just not the same with Abe's drums Paul
Abe Off topic, but that bridge features one of the Paul's (or anyone's) most brilliant lyrics ever "What the use of anything?"
