Hi Giri (Paulfan). In the early days of his exile in New York I think he would have refused although I'm sure Yoko would loved to have been `Lady Yoko.' OMG. But as part of his `comeback' John was intending to re-establish closer links with his English Family and friends. Alas, fate prevented that. I'm going back to bed now so I'll read any replies tomorrow. Cheers. Sam.
-
Okay Sam thanks for the answer. It is too bad that he was taken from us and it would have been good to see him getting closer with is English family had he lived and him go on tour. I wish eh was still around so I could have seen what he would have become in old age.
-
would have become like a form of Nelson Mandela / Ghandi / Mozart. Actually he is become this to all of us that love him and his mates.
-
Hi Paulfan & Vinny. Well Paul hasn't reached `old age' yet, heh, heh so John wouldn't have for a few more years either. Seriously, John would have mellowed, as he did for the last few years and would have been extremely wise as Vinny suggested. And his music would have been interesting. But I don't believe he would have toured like Macca. John hated that part. Cheers. Sam.
-
Hi again Paulfn & Vinny. And I'd forgotten to add we WOULD have seen the occasional re-union of The Beatles despite John's other influences. Probably to help combat World hunger and encourage Peace. And as long as someone locked their Lawyers in a room somewhere. I'll be back in a few hours. Cheers. Sam.

Sam, Wasn't the project that eventually became the Anthology agreed to while John was alive? Wasn't it called The Long And Winding Road? If that was the case, it did look like that they eventually would have gotten back together. Cheers! Sam C.

By the way, it is a new session for the voting site! Vote often and legally! Cheers! Sam C.

Hi Samcat I don't think the Anthology was discussed that far back but possibly a few similar ideas. It was inevitable they'd have reformed if only for the odd special show. After all they loved to entertain people. Cheers Sam.

Good morning Magical Mystery GIrl,hello Beatlemaniac, good to see you both on here. Sam, what was it about touring that he hated? Why did he hate touring? I would have gone to see him if eh did. What I mean by old age is over 40 ro over 60 it would have been eat to see what John would have been like. It would have been great if he lived and the Beatles reunited for world hunger and peace. I bet if they got together for a performance tickets would have sold fast.

Hi Joanne (Beatlemaniac). Of course as soon as you said Joanne I rememebred right away...sorry. I'm glad you like the book but it's best when you read it a second and third time. Yoiu pick up on little things that you may have missed. Then again knowing what a keen fan you are probably you'd miss nothing. Love and hugs. Sam xx

Hi Paulfan. John never really enjoyed touring...neither did George that much. It's hard work and they didn't have Macca's burning energy. BTW stop saying that 40 - 60 is old. 90 is old...ish. Paul is like a young stud.......and I'm not exactly over the hill. Cheers. Sam.

Hello Lisa. Nice to hear from you. Where's me cuppa ?? Love and hugs. Sam

Age is manmade and irrelevant. When you consider how long earth has existed, the universe is old... not a 60 year old man.

Oh.. and Hello Sam.

I have the impression that John didn't like singing. He did it because he had to. But didn't enjoy it. Maybe because he was a "screamer" and he had a hard time singing, the opposite of Paul. In "Fly on the Wall" Paul ask to record "tomorrow" but John says they would be more tired than "today"... John's voice on the LIBN-Naked "Don't Let Me Down" is tremendously tired and screamy. And Paul voice always sound "happy" and even beautiful. I like the most when he sings alone or with little music like in Because I know you love me so, etc. Perhaps the most beautiful voice of Rock'n'roll.
