Aha! I thought there sounded something fishy about that story! Like Paul would board a trolley and burst into Beatles songs. : Turns out the guy on Facebook who said Paul started singing Beatles songs was just JOKING about that. And not a single reporter bothered to interview him until this story. If you read the link, it was the FAN who started singing I Want to Hold Your Hand and Paul only joined in for a bit and agreed to pose for a few pictures with her. He was just being a good sport. As usual, I've seen stories that paint Paul as some kind of attention hound trying to get press coverage while singing on a trolley. And it turns out he just wanted a darn trolley ride. There were some rather nasty comments about him on the NME story about this (as is always the case on NME. I swear NME goes out of its way to find the worst pictures of him and paint him in the worst light. I'm not on Facebook so I couldn't respond.) I don't know how Paul can take years of this kind of treatment and inaccuracy. It would drive me insane.
Funny about those type of stories, do they really think Paul McCartney needs to get attention by singing on a trolley - OMG. McCartney is a living legend and has probably been photographed and written about more than 99% of people alive. As for that kind of treatment, sure he is quite used to it by now and really does not care.

I can see Paul singing out for no reason at all. I mean, not to get attention, but maybe he just feels like singing, and acting crazy. And New Orleans is the place to do it. Although anywhere you can do it too.

I imagine he does it at home often. It is a nice pic. It will always be a keepsake for her.
