Soundcheck
-
Hello all, I just bought VIP tickets to bring my mother to the 2nd Orlando show. She is especially looking forward to seeing a souncheck (as am I!). Just curious - I've heard some soundchecks are the day before... or the day of the show. We are coming from out of town arriving the day before the show (the day of the 1st show) around noon. Does he do a soundcheck before EVERY show in cities where he has 2 shows, or just one before both shows, etc? Whatever anyone can tell me about the timing of these would be great! I really want to make my Mom's dream come true to see this! Thank you!!!

The commercially packaged VIP soundcheck package is always the afternoon of show day. And he does this ahead of every performance as conditions can change hour by hour according to the many variables - weather, stadium layout etc. You will get e-mail instructions on where and when to report to be admitted about a week prior to the show, but it will indeed be the same day. The VIP package means, once entered into the stadium, you will get refreshments and a dedicated waiting area inside the stadium between soundcheck and the show itself. Once in a while for a major show, such as this recent first show, Paul does do a rehearsal the day before - but that is a private event and rehearses lighting, sound desk, video and stage movements etc as well as song performances - but that is not sold as a VIP package. Martin, not always! They did not give us any refreshments at all before the Vancouver soundcheck. We were just lined up in a hallway for over an hour until they led us onto the stadium floor.

Yep. It was very unVIP at the beginning. I have done other soundchecks where we were served soft drinks or water, but nothing at all in Van.

Hi everyone--I bought the VIP Hot Sound package for Austin. I received my tickets weeks ago but still have not gotten an email with instructions for the sound check, etc. I called the Erwin center and they know nothing! Does anyone know if there is an email address or contact phone number to find out about the time we are to arrive for the sound check, etc?? I also haven't received my tickets for the 2nd night at Austin yet!! I'm starting to stress a bit since I'm flying there from California and leave on Monday! :

Ooops, never mind. I went back into my email and there was the HOT sound notification!! Yipee!

SLOTix tends to send out the soundcheck info emails about a week or so before the concert date, so you should be getting one any day now. Also check your spam filter for an email from SLO Customer Service that is titled "DO NOT DELETE!" All the details about what entrance to go to and what time to be there are in the e-mail. If you want to contact them, try customerservice@slotix.com or calling 888-756-4849. as for your concert tickets themselves, I would make sure you got a confirmation number and email from Ticketmaster or whoever sold the tickets for that show, and contact that company about them, esp. if you have already received tickets for Night 1. Good luck!!!

Thanks, I JUST got the email--I think it arrived as I was writing my first post!

I have no complaints about the "Out There" Hot Sound packages in Brazil. Good food and drinks, comfortable area to wait for the soundcheck, nice merchandise items given to us as gifts.

Could somebody copy the email they received about soundcheck into here? I know the details won't be exactly the same for each show, but I think it should give anybody who's going to soundcheck at another show a better idea of what time they'll need to plan for and what to expect.

I haven't received any email yet and I'm seeing him in Memphis on the 26th!! What should I do? I got my ticket through Ticketmaster.

Hi Nancy...the e-mail is usually sent about 7 days prior to the show. You should be seeing it in a day or two. Enjoy the show!!

Hmmm,Pictures only the first 15 minutes ? I think that's new. No memorabilia allowed. I always carry with me to all Paul concerts, (& soundcheck) my original sheet music of Michelle...just in case I have a chance to get it autographed Dang
