And the scheme is with us! http://lineup.bonnaroo.com/events/2013/06/13 Here's a link to the day McCartney is playing: http://lineup.bonnaroo.com/events/2013/06/14/ Paul McCartney: 9:00-11:30. Wilco, arguably one of the best live acts on earth, are on before him. You are going to have a blast!

Wilco are great, agree on that one! Am I reading that schedule right, are there bands that are playing at 2:00 AM?

Of course, this is a festival! More surprising for me, am I correct in saying there aren't any other acts when McCartney is playing?

Who would want to play when McCartney is playing? I mean, not only would the other acts want to watch McCartney but it would SUCK trying to get people to watch you while he is on stage.

ZZTop on another stage after Macca.

got my tix!!!!

What this site is to McCartney, http://www.inforoo.com/ is to Bonnaroo. If there is any information you need about the festival, go here. It's pretty easy to navigate.

I'll probably break down and cry if he plays Listen To What The Man Says at Roo! Is it June already?

For anyone familiar with large music festivals, there is a GA pit that is refilled before every act on the What Stage (mainstage where Paul will be.) If you wait in line long enough, you could be the closest person to Paul. This is how close I was to Phish at Bonnaroo last year from waiting in the pit line. But plan on getting in line right when the What stage opens on Friday (1:00 PM) and rough it out.

Looks good to me! Last time I waited in line for a GA Paul gig (Atlanta 2009) I got there 3:00-4:00 am the night before...so 1:00 pm sounds great to me!

It's because the two main stages are closed off (as opposed to the rest of the festival) so that the huge headlining productions can be loaded in and out without interference from festival goers. That entire section of the festival grounds will open for the first time since last year at 1 on Friday

Yikes! I was hoping to scope out where the pit line is before Friday...is it difficult to find and/or form a pit line for the headliner? And, can you line up before 1:00 pm to get in to the section of the festival grounds you mentioned?
-
How much does food run at the Roo and will they be selling Paul Merch?

Unfortunately no, there isn't a way into that section before 1. I might plan a meetup with everyone on here willing to wait all day and I'd show you where it is. It is sometimes difficult to find (which can be a good thing sometimes) yet it is already roped off so you won't have to form your own pit line.

Meeting up beforehand would be FANTASTIC and I would be eternally grateful

They will sell Paul merch. They have a merchandise stand about 30 feet in length where they sell merch of any band that has merch (and headliners always have merch) as well as Bonnaroo item's. Food will vary. Food there isn't the generic venue hot dog, hamburger, fries. Every vendor is an independently owned food establishment from all over the east coast. They will set their own prices, but it is worth it. To give an example of the variety, in one section, there was a fresh fruit smoothie stand from Manassas, VA next to a pulled pork bbq stand from Tennessee, next to a pizzeria from upstate NY.

I'm sure there's TONS you could say...but any general advice for Bonnaroo first-timers?

There really aren't tips because everything there is simple to figure out. All I have to give is Stay Hydrated. Water is free at refilling stations all throughout the festival grounds,

Just to say, I've found it easier to wait in the pit line on the left side (facing the stage); the side furthest from the rest of Centeroo. Most people are already confused about the whole pit line-up procedure, so take advantage of their confusion!
