Tour T Shirt with incorrect dates
-
The t-shirt has been corrected and was for sale last night at the merch booth. I actually was 1/2 thinking about buying the NKOTB shirt with Paul's face on it.

Glad they finally fixed that shirt after it was sold at, what, 7 shows?

Are you talking about this t-shirt? http://distilleryimage10.s3.amazonaws.com/90e2127cb66311e286a922000a1fb703_7.jpg Mine was made in Brazil and has the correct tour dates. I guess the mistake happened while they were making the ones for the US market.

Yes, thats the one. There is a photo posted up thread that shows the back with the wrong dates
-
When I was in Memphis, I bought a black t-shirt with Paul on the front and concert dates on the back. I didn't look at the dates until yesterday. They are nothing like the Out There tour. Here is what the back says: May Uncasville, CT 3x June Uniondale, NY Boston, MA 2x Ottawa, ON Montreal, ZC Toronto, ON Auburn Hills, MI Cleveland, OH Pittsburgh, PA East Rutherford, NJ Washington, DC Philadelphia, PA Brooklyn, NY Nashville, TN Charlotte, NC Atlanta, GA Orlando, FL Fort Lauderdale, FL Louisville, KY Cincinnati, OH Houston, TX Dallas, TX Oklahoma City, OK St. Louis, MO July Milwaukee, WI Los Angeles, CA Las Vegas, NV San Jose, CA Tacoma, WA Vancouver, BC San Jose, CA (again ?) Anaheim, CA Phoenix, AZ Denver, CO Rosemont, IL 2x Minneapolis, MN Kansas City, MO Manchester, NH Atlantic City, NJ Toronto, ON (again ?) August Albany, NY Buffalo, NY Columbus, OH Indianapolis, IN I'm told these dates match the tour for, get this, New Kids on the Block! Anyone else end up with a shirt like this?
-
The shirt has since been corrected. read this thread http//maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=86601
-
Lots of people have them, they were sold at all of the shows from Orlando up until Brooklyn. You must have missed the previous thread about that shirt: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=86601 Thanks to an idea that RickG put into my head and some Googling, I will take credit for figuring out that those are the New Kids tour dates.
-
A friend of mine did the googling to figure out that these were the dates for New Kids on the Block. I sure wish I would have looked at the back and NOT bought the shirt.

Here is the back of the shirt in question. The front says MACCA with pictures of Paul with guitar inside letters. I purchased the shirt for $40 from an approved vendor in FedEx Forum Sunday night. I didn't pull shirt out of bag until today and noticed cities on back were all bogus. No Memphis and Yes Buffalo is on it!!
This is the shirt I bought in Memphis and I don't want it.

What size is it? You can always send it to me.

One of Rick G's friends accidently bought it in Memphis and luckily realized it right away. He went back to the vendor who gave him a different shirt and let him keep the incorrect one too!
-
I emailed Bravado and they are sending me a corrected shirt. That is all I wanted. I did not want to have to wait in line in Milwaukee and knew I couldn't do an exchange there. So all will be well with me and I will have the correct shirt. Is that what I get for buying the shirt outside the venue and taking it to the car?

No. Lots of people bought that shirt inside the venues, too, and didn't realize those were the wrong dates. There are probably still people out there who went to a show, bought that shirt, but don't read McCartney message boards or email lists and have no idea that those dates are wrong. I don't know why Paul's organization continued to sell those shirts; they must have been notified by *somebody* that the shirts were printed incorrectly. Those shirts were sold at 7 concerts before they were able to get the corrected ones. :

7 concerts before getting corrected. No wonder they responded so quickly that they will send me a corrected one.

I ordered some items from Paul's official store in the UK and received a New Kids On The Block t-shirt: What is the deal with Paul and NKOTB?

OMG! : Come on guys...how professional is that? I know many screen printers that could get the dates right AND could ship out the right shirts.

I once ordered two different items from Paul's official USA webstore and they sent me just one of those items... twice! And in the same box. Another problem: they usually declare an amount in the Customs form that is higher than what you actually paid for the items. That means you will have to pay higher import fees to your local Customs office, so that you can get your package. Ringo Starr's official webstore has the same problem, by the way. I once ordered two tour books that cost around $20 and they declared that the package contained 6 books in the amount of more than $60! That's not a mistake. That's someone trying to screw you on purpose.

Does it at least fit?

No, it's very small!

Ha ha! I actually find this whole NKOTB/McCartney confusion quite amusing! Like when you see someone slip on a banana peel. It's funny because it's not me!
