No...the #1 person isn't necessarily the winner. These are the rules ?The players who get the most clicks will move to the top of the leaderboard. ?After a period of time (we?re not saying how long!) we will throw a ?ball? to one of the players at the top of the leaderboard. ?That player then has 24 hours to claim the prize. But if they don?t do it within that 24 hours then they?re O.U.T. spells out! and the ?ball? gets thrown to another player until the prize is claimed! See it states that ONE of the players at the top will get the "ball." Are just the top 5 considered the top? I assumed so, but I am not sure. I am currently now 28!! Thanks CAA for the compliment about the blog. It is something I truly enjoy. Sara S.

Okay, I see! I bet it's just one of the top 5 who can "catch the ball."
-
Thanks for explaining how the game works as far as having a low number. I'm back up to 169. Wonder if any balls have been thrown yet. Haven't read that anywhere. Also, wonder how long the contest will last and how many autographed CDs will be given. Wish I could think of another way to get those darn clicks! Here's my link; feel free to click! http//paulmccartney.com/queenieeye/r/V0QO

On Twitter, Paul says they'll be "throwing the ball" soon. Still don't know if it only gets thrown to one of the top 5, but that would make sense. I'll never win--I'm 274 now! My link is this: http://paulmccartney.com/queenieeye/r/m25V

I thought the contest was over because it won't let me click the link again. Wonder what is going on.
-
Fab4Clayton, I'm wondering the same thing. I tried to click on my link and other people's here on the board and it won't let me open any of them. Since they'll be throwing the ball soon, perhaps the game is over.
-
I wonder how many votes those top players have & how many people they had to bribe to vote for them.
-
I didn't bother entering - don't feel i know enough people or post in enough places (i'm such a loser!) But i was wondering, did clicking on your own link count? Cos maybe that's how people hit the top, by clicking on their own? I did click on the ones in this thread for everyone a few times in the last week But in a way i think the comp is a bit spammy from Paul's camp - "spam your friends to this Paul advert and you may win something but you probably wont" is how they should have worded it (I think i'm getting too cynical in my old age!)

You can never be too cynical when it comes to Paul McCartney. He'll be getting us consumers doing free marketing for him in return for (a very slight chance) of owning one of his products with his name scrawled on it next? Oh hang on, he's already doing it.

As far as I understood, there was only one winner of the autographed Cd. Only one ball was to be thrown and if that person didn't respond then another ball was going to be thrown. I was at #23 and now I am back at #25 (where I had been for several days). At first I clicked my link over and over again. Then last Friday at 6a.m. that was no longer allowed. Once you clicked on the link a few times, you were not allowed to click anymore. I have been going to forums where people are trying to get votes for various contests. You share your link and they will click and you click on their link for their contest. I have voted for way too many cute babies in the past week! Rumor that I hear is that the ball was thrown today. I am sort of glad to this to be over and my life can go back to normal. I think everyone I know was tired of me begging for help. And yet I still am without Paul McCartney's autograph. Maybe I need to save up my money and skip the next concert and just buy one instead. Sara S.

Many of us are still without a autograph from PM. I think he should give one to all soundcheckers.
-
It was actually a decision I had to make back in May. To see Paul McCartney with the soundcheck or take the soundcheck money and buy his autograph. I decided that I would go for the soundcheck (which was the best choice). Although for $1,500 he really should have thrown in an autographed photo or something.

Agreed!! I would never just buy his autograph! What fun is that? It is getting it from him personally that would be the only way to do it! (But I'd rather have a hug than an autograph)

How about a hug, a smooch on the cheek & an autograph. At least he could drive by on a golf cart & high 5 everyone.

Since the tour programme is always included in the soundcheck package, an autographed copy would be a generous (and classy) extra touch.

I didn't get a tour program with my soundcheck package I don't think.

I had to buy it--also got a t-shirt. Total was about $70.
