HAPPY AUTUMNAL EQUINOX!!! today is the Autumnal Equinox and the day that the nights will start getting longer!!!
https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap190923.html
One of my college buddies has a traditional Autumnal Equinox party every year, so we had Margaritas and toasted the Equinox all night!!! A couple of weeks earlier, another friend had a Harvest Moon Party and we toasted The Moon and Neil Young. It was an all woman dance party and some of us even howled at the moon after a bit or a few drinks ... owoooooo
Just think, our ancient relatives used to do the same thing... it was fun and we didn't have to plow the fields the next day either

Auroras are so mysterious and they make some cool spacy sounds...
All poets and heros ...are the children of Aurora, and emit their music at sunrise ~ Henry David Thoreau, Walden
I've seen two, one in the Rockies and one on a plane...its on my bucket list to see these really cool ones in Iceland or Norway someday.

Very very cool photo of Red Sprites, which are in our upper atmosphere and are associated with lightning.

APOD OF THE DAY
When I was very young, my Dad and I used to go out at night to look at the stars. We both really enjoyed finding constellations and it was cool because he was always generous with taking the time to Teach me and to make me think about everything in nature.
Today, due to LED lights, it's very difficult to see a beautiful sky full of the stars and the Milky Way.
Thought I would share a beautiful APOD of Stars in the night sky...they shine like many beautiful gems!

SpaceX just released 60 more satellites into space. This is the second release and astronomers are worried it's going to block their view into the Universe.

The video is amazing...

A beautiful video for Sunday of the Thanksgiving weekend. Running off to church and the perfect video.

A very cool APOD from yesterday. The Parker Solar Probe was launched to take a closer look at the Sun.

Thought I posted this...Paul having coffee with the astronaut Luca Parmitano. Luca is on the International Space Station. He was sitting at the Cupola windows, looking down on to Earth.
Wondering what music of Paul's brought them together?

Be like Paul and talk to an astronaut. Just saw this program called Masterclass and one of the programs is made by astronaut Chris Hadfield. It looks interesting!

Saw this cool star chart that not only shows star's in galaxy's close to us, it also shows the numbers of Dwarf stars. I didn' t realize there were so many of them. It also shows planets we've discovered in those star system.

This is so awesome!

They were able to turn Voyager 2 off, then back on again so far far away. It boggles the mind they were supposed to last 5 years and are still going 42 years later! Both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are now in interstellar space!!! Cool graphics WOW

The astronaut that Paul talked to on the International Space Station has filmed a very comprehensive tour of the ISS with a fellow astronaut. They travel the entire space station in detail with a flashing red dot that shows where they are on a small model bottom left. If you just want to enjoy the quick view, at the end, they "fly" through the entire ISS very quickly, at 56:00 min.

An especially beautiful nebula on APOD, the Corina Nebula
