We seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with Brian and his wetsuit, don't we? Seriously though, it's really cool that those pix were taken at a show you were at. The one of Brian and Paul together is a great one. There a few on the web that were taken at Dublin but they were taken from quite far back in the audience and aren't that good. I brought a disposable camera to the gig but I only took one pic would you believe! I was so blown away that I completely forgot. I only remembered during Yesterday and just took the one, it didn't come out all that well but it's better than nothing. I'm sorry now that I didn't bring a proper camera because there wouldn't have been a problem security-wise. There was even an announcement as we were going in that people could take photos as long as they didn't use the flash too often!! A bit differnt to other countries I'm sure!

Different to my experiences. At Birmingham, we got told off. A security man saw us and said, "That was your first and your last." (That's what he thought, anyway!).

LOL.....I knew it, too! Brian's going to wish he never posted that photo. (but we're glad he did!!)

Nice one. This is from Jorie's site as well and relates to the April 19th Earls Court show: "The offstage crew played a joke on Brian. During "Birthday" Brian plays a tambourine which he discards at the end of the song by tossing it offstage. Evidently he must have hit a few crew members at previous gigs because, just before tambourine toss the crew was seen putting on 'hard hats' with little flags on top to protect themselves from the toss. Brian couldn't stop laughing." What is it about that tambourine?!!
Can I share one of my personal favorites from the same website but a different concert? Brian said he was glad to be in Holland because he's part Dutch from his father's side of the family. How sweet!! I think I heard a collective "ahh" from the audience at that point. One thing I did notice after going back and reading the reviews again is that Brian almost always attempted to greet the audience in their native language. That shows he truly cared and wanted to connect with the audience!!

I didn't know he was part Dutch! Thanks for the info. I agree with the second point. He said some lovely things at Liverpool.

I didn't know he was part Dutch either. I don't remember him speaking any Irish in Dublin but I could be wrong. Wix did say a few words (I don't think anyone understood him but at least he tried) and Paul said "Slan Abhaile". I was very impressed!

I didn't understand what was said at the Irish gig (for obvious reasons) Can you translate??

You mean you don't speak Irish????!!!! Literally translated it means "safe home" - in other words, goodbye.

Nah, I'm more of a Gaelic girl myself! I think it's really cool that they tried to at least say a few words in the languages of the countries they visited. They're just such friendly lads

I don't think I've ever been to a concert where a band has interacted so well and so naturally with the audience. I've certainly never been so drawn to two almost unknown musicians like this before!

Me neither. I never would have thought I would either - just goes to show you never can tell!

Could be - good thinking. The chat could follow part 2. Right - I'm not planning anything for Easter. At least we've got a date and don't have to check Jorie's news board every 5 minutes. And - we've still got time to think of questions and help MM get sorted. Also, we must have ages to wait for Rusty's interview/web chat.

Speaking of MM - has the computer whiz sorted you out yet MM? I swear that chat room is cursed or something. Everyone has had problems accessing it or has been booted out of it at some point.

Don't, please! If this carries on, I won't be able to plan anything for the rest of the year!!

He's a man of mystery - which makes him very appealing.
